s/b a wonderfully long summer again.....i just went through the vacation database....there are 3 fridays that aren't full between today and the end of september.

looks like i'll have a sh!t ton of vacation saved up for x-mas this year.

i requested a total of 5 days last year and didn't get a single 1.

looks like i'll have to request 2 full weeks to be high enough on the seniority list to qualify for my vacation request this year.

this place sucks.

With my references checked about a potentially new job, I still haven't heard anything back yet from HR. I was told on Tuesday that I would know one way or another by the end of the week.

Kind of scary, a customer at work today had a diabetes attack, pretty sure it was severe hypoglycemia. Kind of wish I had seen it so I would have extra reason not to let my blood sugar get too low even though I'm type 2.

I think it's crap I have weekend duty! I work mid shift yet they want you to just magically adjust to a day shift schedule then go back to mids again It doesn't work like that

This is where I get screwed. I don't get paid extra for working extra. There is no overtime in the military If there was I would be rich. I get the same paycheck every two weeks regardless.

Hell, I haven't been to sleep in the last 24 hours. I'm about to pass out at work. Has anyone made it to 36 hours? When it gets to 24 I can barely keep my eyes open.

36 hours? I used to do it all the time when I had my own manufacturing company and we were behind in production for whatever reason.

I can tell you it's NOT fun, but we managed to get everything done and within proper specs (you go a little wonky after 24 hours, so you need to be careful).

Yes, I should of specified but hours. Here is what I'm getting at. I work a mid shift, which is 11PM to 7AM in the morning. So I normally go to sleep around 9 or 10 AM. But I have weekend duty and I had to come in at 8AM today. Do you see how that screws me up? I should normally be sleeping at this time. And I couldn't force myself to sleep even more so I could work all day. I had to sleep from the night before. But anyways it's now 6PM(still at work) and I've been up since 7PM last night. Going to bed when I get home would mess up my sleep schedule, since I have to be at work tomorrow night at 11PM. I want to try to at least stay up a little so I don't ruin my schedule but I've never made it to 36 hours.

Well, you give me hope! I'm going to try to stay up as long as I can. I had a good sleeping schedule before. I have a year and half left Already served 5 Definitely not my chosen field.
