I had an apex player back in the day. It'd let you skip anything reguardless of restrictions placed on the DVD. I'd always skip Benny. Still love him though.

perhaps you are mistaking the jerry bruckheimer films logo with the lighting striking the tree on the side of the road as the touchstone logo.

I didn't know that the Touchstone logo and the jerry bruckheimer films logo shared a few similarities. I'll be happy to double check the poster as soon as I get home and go through my old boxes of trailer reels. If the logo reads Touchstone pictures I'll scane it and share it here. I mean after all super rare 1 of a kind poster and trailers don't come along every day you know. lol

oh so THIS is why best buy shipped my copy without the slipcover...they threw it out. not that i care about the dvd, but i guess i'm never buying from there again (and the only reason i did was because i had a $15 cert)

They do. They send you a mailer for the DVD and send the replacement once received.

I preordered mine from Best Buy and it has still yet to ship. Wonder if they're delaying their stock now as well or what...

Mine looks identical, same super easy to remove sticker on the front, slipcover in perfect shape.

First Best Buy I went to was out of stock... went to the larger one and they had 3 copies, and someone else picked up one right after me.

Used $15 in rewardzone certificates (thanks facebook!), so it was $2.15 after tax!

Happy to have it and don't really care about the dvd issues.

I agree, and if the mail and switch process were not so easy, I probably wouldn't bother sending it in. But hey, it just came out and they're already offering, so why not at least have the correct full set?

Has anyone heard back from Disney as far as what DVD numbers were affected? I haven't had a chance to test my disc yet.

My Roger Rabbit DVD number on the back is: DVDL-4766600A1 and DVDL-4766600B1

I'm starting to get a little worried that my BestBuy.com order isn't going to ship....it's still processing and says it'll take 3-5 business days to ship. Meanwhile on BB.com it's listed as backordered and shipping in 1-2 weeks. Hope I don't get screwed, I just really wanna watch this...couldn't give less of a shit about the DVD!

I'm having the same fears with Amazon. It went from "In Stock" to 9-12 days, even though my order said it'd be here tomorrow, the 14th. I'm fine waiting for it, though. As long as i actually get it, that is.

It IS delayed... they packaged the wrong DVD with the set. It'll be there next week.

Yeah, I got the same thing, that is not cool

I would understand if they made a mistake with the Blu-ray but who cares about the DVD? I am giving the DVD to my co-worker and she does not care if it is full screen or widescreen

Glad I chose to pick this up in-store, rather than doing an Amazon pre-order. It would suck to have to wait for the BD just because they screwed up a DVD that I'll never even put in my player either way.
