Cast a Giant Shadow's not a western and Kirk Douglas is the lead. My impression is some of those westerns sold pretty well. I can guarantee you that there are many Olive titles that sold worse than them, many of them liquidated and bought by Hamilton Books (so no, not guaranteed to be upgraded). Not everyone buys movies based on length. Frankenstein, The Invisible Man and The Wolf Man are 70 minutes apiece but that didn't stop Universal from releasing them in 4K.

I grabbed a lot of those. A few of the Wayne westerns were included but the vast majority were not. I know people don’t usually buy movies based on length but they certainly complain when a short film costs as much as a longer film. I’ve even seen people praise a theatrical film for being long because it provides more bang for the buck. I’ve never understood that mindset.

I just recently bought Indicator's blu-ray release of Hardcore, because I read that it has a better encode than Kino's. Do Indicator titles tend to be superior like that? Do they tend to be region-free?

Yes, Indicator releases tend to have optimal encodes most of the time.

Some Indicator releases are Region Free, while others are "B" locked. It often depends on the license/contract.

I wouldn't say that's always true, it's just that fewer releases are region free anymore.

The Mexico Macabre set was region free, and it just came out in June.

I was all excited, added 11 titles to my cart, but upon Check Out, a spinning blue circle appeared and never advanced. Tried it in three different browsers, all with the same result.

Woo-hoo! Never mind. I just disabled the uMatrix plug-in and tried again and it went! (Odd, I previously tried in a Private Window, which disabled ALL plug-ins and got no action. Even M$ Edge failed.) I really needed this order to go through, I am as happy as I am Skinny.
