Was able to PM at Future Shop vs some Amazon prices.

Got 2 Guns for $3.50, Riddick for $4 and American Hustle for $4 before taxes. YMMV as they didn't give me any hassles over shipping charges or meeting $25 minimum.

Anyone with a Chase Best Buy Visa... I just got a letter in the mail, they're suspending/terminating that portfolio and after February 28th 2015, you can't use it to buy anything (no more double points at BB) =(

I got the letter to its lame. it looks like on april 15 they will be coming out with new store only cards from Desjardins but no word though on if a new visa or master style card will be coming.

is there another reward card that's any good? I'm thinking of getting the amazon one but u have to get 2k points before the amazon one pays out vs the 1600 that best buys card required. I also don't buy much from amazon.ca as there prices are usely higher and no price matching.

also was reading that sear cards though chase will be done in nov of this year.

amazon might be next as chase will only have 2 cards left after best buy and sears are done.

Shades of MBNA all over again. I worked for MBNA and there was a time, they had cards for any group. You name it. It was pretty wild.
Then they lost portfolio after portfolio until they were bought by BOA and then TD.

It's a crazy circle. Rumours are TD will scoop up Sears.

the Amazon one is weak... all you get it $20 credits to your statement.. the US one lets you stockpile your points (so I hear)... although, you don't pay exchange rate fees for int'l transactions with it.. so...

If you do a lot of shopping outside of Canada, then yeah the Amazon.ca is definitely worth it since it saves you the 2.5% currency exchange fee the majority of other CC's charge.

If you like to get GC's for Best Buy/Future Shop, Cineplex, etc, the Petro Points Mastercard is an option. It's no fee, saves you 2 cents per litre, and the points can be converted into gift cards for places like Best Buy.

just looked up that card and it says 40000 points to get a $25 gift card and looks like u only get 10 points per dollar meaning ud have to spend 4 grand just to get a $25 gift card seems kinda steep

Agree with Ziggy ... I'd use my Canadian Best Buy Visa to buy stuff from BestBuy.Com .. Why? Get American RZ points and Canadian Ones at the same time =) -- everything else, went on my amazon card. 2.5% adds up quickly =P -- mastercard is also an option if you shop at Costco too, as they now accept that and give you cash back for gas purchases and other things..

You would get 15pts/$1 at Grocery stores/drug stores and Petro Can purchases and 10pts everywhere else. If you put $1001 on the card each month, you would get 5000 bonus pts each month. Spending $450 on Groceries, $50 at Petro Can, + misc for the rest would get you about 17,000 pts a month, or about 205,000pts/yr. Best Buy's E-gift cards are 12,000 for $10, 30,000 for $25, 60,000 for $50 and so forth.

Preorder for The Boxtrolls 3D is $22.99 at Best Buy & Future Shop, which is actually cheaper than the price in the States at $27.99 on Amazon.com

edit: Noticed it's also $22.99 at Amazon.ca as well

Probably because the US gets a digital copy.
