I'll be the slight Debby Downer here and say I don't quite think the trailer matches up to the first teaser, at least in terms of being really tantalising. The teaser really drove the fact that this was a NEW Star Wars film which really got me excited, the new trailer was really just showing us more of the old and the fact we're continuing the original story. That aside, it looks great, that opening shot is gorgeous.

I have some reservations. As cool as it is to see Han Solo teamed up with Chewie again, Harrison Ford looks OLD! And something's off about Chewie as well. Looks too much like the CGI'd Wookies from ROTS.

But the action scenes look really good and the cinematography completely blows away any of the lazy camera work by Lucas and his crew in the prequels. Interesting that they continue to focus on the young cast members. But I don't mind them not spoiling too much stuff with the original cast(at least for now).

I hope Abrams pulls this off. I'd love to wash the bad taste of the prequels out of my mouth.

I was downright cynical about this movie, but now that I've watched the trailer a few times it's up to #4 on my most anticipated list.

I just hope that after this film, JJ can be known as a great director instead of simply "lens flare guy". I'm so tired of reading that garbage every time I come I here.

The more I think about it, the more I think that a big Star Destroyer crash could be a major action setpiece in the movie (maybe even the opening scene), which could lead to a lot of the scenes we see in the trailers (such as the stormtroopers freaking out, stuff blowing up in the desert, scavengers, etc). If so, I think it could be awesome. But we'll see.

While the trailer was excellent, better than expected, I thought the shot of the downed Star Destroyer was not very well done. It actually looked fake enough to not be convincing for me. First, that it looks way too much like a painting and second, something that big impacting the planet would not be in that good of condition.

That trailer is amazing. First, the film looks beautiful, and it does look magical. That is Star Wars.

I really can't explain it, but Abrams gets Star Wars. Sure, the film might not be as great as we're hoping, but g*ddamn, I get all the feels while watching this teaser. The music, the shots, the editing; It's a marvelous trailer that shows that Abrams and crew understand what fans want.

Mos Eisley was a city that was built around crashed ship and by its survivors BTW.
