this is gonna suck.

maybe i can call them and let them know it'll be a week late.
As long as you're usually on time and you're a long time customer, they may be willing to give you a grace period.

i've only ever been late 2 other times. once was only by a day because i just plain forgot to post it, but i remembered when i got up the next morning and immediately logged on and posted it. the second time i just rain out of money due to other bills. but i called them and let them know and they moved my due date to the 18th (it used to be the 11th).

i won't ask them to move it again, i just want to let them know that it'll be a week late. hopefully they'll be ok with that.

also, i'm actually working more volunteer hours than normal office hours this week; 15 vs 8.

and if i pick up any volunteer hours next week, both this week and next week will be on the next check. so i should be caught up by then. it's why i hate this time of year. the first few weeks of the new year are always difficult for getting hours.

I have co-workers that work for free, even if I had the time, I wouldn't do it. I don't like my job enough and it would always make me feel weird about how they react to my normal schedule. Besides I worked 70s a week there for awhile back before I became a marathon freak. Part of the reason they pretty much took away OT forever is they said I'm too lazy? I wonder if they even know how that sounds calling someone who works 70 hours a week lazy. Whatever, my employer goes through a ridiculous number of employees, I wonder if they even know why. Learn how to properly treat employees, people!

i've known managers like that. when i was managing restaurants, other managers would go through a bunch of employees and always wondered why. i'd just laugh and tell them they needed to question everything; even themselves.

i had turnover, but it was usually for things like school starting or something like that. and if i noticed more than usual were quitting, i'd start to question my methods and start asking questions. if someone's not happy, they'll usually tell you if you ask.

There's exit interviews at my job, I'm guessing the former director of administration at my location finally pissed off too many people. She "quit" at the end of the year but I know there's more to it than that. Lady had a 10+ year plan in place, people like that don't suddenly "quit for personal reasons." I'd say it's at least 90% likely they realized she was the main reason so many core employees that had been there forever were leaving and canned her ass.

My current 5+ year old laptop is on it's way out, the audio feed has been failing and my battery is shot ( I can't unplug it for longer than 5 min without it shutting down ). Thinking about replacing it with a Chromebook this weekend, trying to figure out which one. The Chromebook is obviously cheaper and I don't do a whole lot offline these days, but I still like the option of being able to work off-line with third party software.

Last night I fell asleep with my Apple Watch still on, normally I take it off and put it in charge at night, and it turns out I burned 40 calories in my sleep according to the Activity app on the watch.

It's funny, like, everybody makes that same joke about Taco Bell as if it's a standard thing but I've never once experienced anything like that, and I've been eating there for years now.

Taco Bell is bantha poo doo! It tastes all right for fast food but it doesn't really resemble real Mexican food. Back to work, had a couple interruptions during the last break of the day.

Not once have I been asked to be a mod on any site since 09. Simply can't imagine why.

Woah...

That’s “Bantha poo doo”, whatever that means in toddler gibberish.

Thinking about why I keep getting rooked into helping my youngest sisters. Two little brats have never done anything to help me, why should I help them? I know I know, that's why family's for but they could at least make it a choice.
