It says a lot about Star Wars when a teaser trailer, and then this trailer, can affect people the way they have.

People clap and cheer. They cry. They feel like a kid again.

Star Wars is engrained in a lot of us. If you've been a fan since you were a kid, few things will ever match the power of Star Wars.

When Han says "Chewie, we're home," I think a lot of the audience feels that way, too.

I have a very good feeling about this.

It just looked like the body didnt match the face, but upon watching it 1080p on bigger screen i can see the skin colour matches the face and is not quite human

Wonder if that could be Lupita Nyong'o character?

I really can't explain it, but Abrams gets Star Wars. Sure, the film might not be as great as we're hoping, but g*ddamn, I get all the feels while watching this teaser. The music, the shots, the editing; It's a marvelous trailer that shows that Abrams and crew understand what fans want.

Here's the challenge that JJ Abrams and his team have with this film. He cannot simply make a film as good as the originals. He has to try and make a film as good or better than the way fans REMEMBER the originals and there's definitely a difference. Years and years of build up and anticipation, not to mention all of the sentimental feelings and memories are something Abrams is going to have to try and satisfy. That's an extremely tall order and honestly, I don't know if he'll truly succeed but I'm willing to bet he'll get a lot damn closer than Lucas did with the PT.
