I'm surprised the Outback Bowl took LSU over Texas A&M. A&M would draw more viewers than LSU, and that's without taking into account that LSU's quarterback is injured. It's definitely good for Iowa though. Iowa struggles against mobile quarterbacks and Johnny Maziel would have torn them up, while they should have a chance against LSU.

I just read that article. In it, writer Randy Rosetta says it's "likely" the SEC intervened, but he offers no quotes or evidence to support his statement. Maybe it did happen, maybe it didn't. But I guess I'm so weary of media passing off opinion as fact that I've got to say "show me."

It means there isn't a huge vote difference between the people in the 4-5-6 range. It doesn't mean the actual race for the Heisman is close. I would be shocked if it isn't a landslide for Jameis. If the sex assault charges were still pending or if Winston had been charged it could have been close, but with no charges being filed this shouldn't even be close. I honestly have no idea who will get second though.

It's Rumored that Mack Brown will be stepping down from Texas via
Twitter. Nick Saban still haven't signed his extension yet. Looking more likely he could make that move.

Yeah, Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com is reporting Brown will step down, and there is no reporter that's more plugged into a school than Chip Brown with Texas. Texas is denying the report, but they also denied Brown's story that AD DeLoss Dodds would step down, and then weeks later he announced his retirement.

I'm still not sold on Saban to Texas though. It just seems like the level of access and time commitment he'd have to give to the Longhorn Network would be Saban's personal hell. I think this could be a play by Saban's agent to get more money from Alabama.
