If it wasn't for the story SI broke a few months ago, Mike Gundy would be a very attractive candidate for Texas. I wonder if they can't get someone they really want, they just stick with Brown for another season?

It was a resume dishonesty from well before Notre Dame. And he got that job based off what he did at Georgia Tech, not what major he received or whether he was a manager on the team.

Yeah, but at 67 most schools aren't going to look to hire George O'Leary. Almost any school in the nation would LOVE to hire Nick Saban at 62. There is a huge difference between O'Leary and Saban.

There's a rumor going around that Texas will offer Saban a 10-year, $100 million and a 1% stake in the Longhorn Network. This rumor is NOT true. Pat Forde of Yahoo says this rumor came from a Twitter post in 2011 and there's no truth to the number.

Boise State has reportedly hired Arkansas State coach Bryan Harsin as their new head coach. Harsin is a former Boise QB and coached at Boise from 2001-2010, spending 5 years as offensive coordinator and QB coach prior to spending 2 years at Texas as their co-offensive coordinator.

Arkansas State has got to be tired of having their football coach poached after 1 year. Hugh Freeze, Gus Malzahn, and now Harsin have left after 1 year at Arkansas State, meaning next season Arkansas State will be on their 5th coach in a 5 year span (excluding interim coaches). Arkansas State tried to make it less likely that Harsin would leave by including a $1.75 million buyout if he left after a season, after only having a $225,000 buyout for Freeze and a $700,000 buyout for Malzahn, but that apparently didn't make a difference.
