![]() Damn the SEC bias is strong you pick every SEC team to win. Only team you didn't pick was LSU and that might be because their QB is done for the season. Last edited by emac213; 12-11-2013 at 02:03 PM. |

You call it bias, I call it a statistical fact. Let's look at them one at a time.... Auburn (12-1-0) vs. Florida State (13-0-0) Not once has FSU been truly tested this year. Not once have they faced a legitimate Top-30 defense. This game will be a hard fought game decided by a margin of victory of 10 points or less. Auburn is going to run the ball while controlling the tempo and milking the seconds off the clock. Statistics? Here they are... Auburn is 13-4-1 against FSU all-time and is 22-13-2 in the bowls. Alabama (11-1-0) vs. Oklahoma (10-2-0) While Alabama is only 1-2-1 all-time against Oklahoma, they are on a 4 bowl game winning streak and has won 3 out of the last 4 BCS National Championships. Oklahoma on the other hand, should be renamed "Chokelahoma". Overall, Oklahoma is 1-4 in the last 5 bowls against SEC opponents. (ATM, Florida, LSU, Mississippi) In these bowls, Oklahoma has been outscored 116-76 in total points scored. Missouri (11-2-0) vs. Oklahoma State (10-2-0) Missouri is the real deal this year. Their only regular season loss was a double overtime game against South Carolina. This Missouri team has a quick strike offense and a good aggressive defense. Nevermind that Missouri's Michael Sam is a Defensive Player of the Year nominee. Aside from that, Missouri is 28-23-0 against OSU. South Carolina (10-2-0) vs. Wisconsin (9-3) South Carolina has one of the best quarterbacks and leaders in the nation in Connor Shaw who has passed for 2,135 yards and 21 touchdowns with only 1 interception, hitting Bruce Ellington 43 times for 635 yards and six touchdowns. Damiere Byrd is not too far behind with 33 catches for 575 yards and four touchdowns on the season. Don’t sleep on the run game as Mike Davis might be one of the best running backs in the nation, rushing for 1,134 yards and 11 touchdowns with seven 100-yard rush games on the year. QB Connor Shaw is also a danger with his feet. The Badgers have seen their fair share of read-option looks and scrambling quarterbacks, and they will get one more on Jan. 1 when they go up against Shaw. The senior quarterback is South Carolina's second-leading rusher this season. (138 rushes-511 yards-5 touchdowns) Shaw also happens to be getting it done with his arm, which had been a criticized aspect of his game earlier in his collegiate career. He has thrown 21 touchdowns to just one interception, making for one of the best ratios in all of college football. Wisconsin has had its issues on the back end of the defense, so it will have its hands full with Shaw and his dual-threat ability. Defensively, Clowney and Quarles will get to Stave early and often. Bet on it. Statistically, South Carolina has won back to back bowls over Big Ten opponents (Nebraska, Michigan) and has won 4 out of the last 5 against the Big Ten. It's no secret that the Big Ten isn't what it once was while the SEC continues to reign supreme in college football. This simply isn't a favorable matchup for Wisconsin. I'll continue this later today. ![]() |

That's the million dollar question on campus. I hope he doesn't pull a Kevin Smith and turn pro. I want him to come back, but who knows. I don't think so, but you never know. If he lights it up in the Fiesta Bowl, he might go up in the draft rankings.

I didn't think there was much of a chance of Bortles turning pro, but in the last couple weeks there's been a lot of hype that he could be a top 10 pick and possibly even the first quarterback taken. I know nothing about Bortles family situation or if money is an issue, but it's very possible that his stock will never be higher than it is now. Should be interesting to see what he does.

What I learn is its better to be lucky than good. FSU is getting criticize for blowing teams out and AU is getting praised for being lucky. |

According to Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com here are the coaches Texas will go after:
1. Nick Saban 2. Urban Meyer After that he lists Mike Tomlin, Jim Harbaugh, and David Shaw What I wonder is where does Texas go if they can't get any of those coaches. I think Saban is using Texas to get more money from Alabama, and I don't see Tomlin and Harbaugh leaving the NFL. David Shaw is a Stanford grad and has his dream job and I don't know if any amount of money could get him to come to Texas. Urban Meyer could be a possibility, but he may decide he's got a better chance at success in the Big 10 rather than the Big 12. Texas may be setting themselves up for failure because any coach they end up hiring is going to pale in comparison to the names that have been mentioned. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...xas-candidates |

ESPN Radio was reporting that if Texas wants Nick Saban they'd have to start with a 10 million $/year offer.
Start. That's insane. That would have Saban making several million per year more than Sean Payton, the highest paid NFL coach. The scariest part is Texas can afford that. |

1. FSU can run the ball against the likes of Duke, Wake Forest, Nevada, Idaho and many teams of that caliber. ![]() FSU's lowest rushing totals for the year came against Florida. (107 total yards between Wilder Jr. and Freeman) The same (4-8-0) injury plagued Gators that held FSU to their lowest scoring total this year. We'll see about Auburn's "D" in a few weeks. Quote:
No. FSU is being criticized for playing a whole conference full of cupcakes while demanding respect. Auburn just whipped the 5th ranked team in the nation (Missouri) and also beat the number one team the week before (Alabama). You talk about the SEC Media bias. Well, in order to be the best, you have to play the best. The fact is, the SEC has and is the most competitive conference in the country. The SEC has won SEVEN BCS Championships in a row with a chance to make it eight. FSU fans have no right to cry foul about the lack of respect. When the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) starts acting like they care about football instead of trying to figure out a way to turn a football into a basketball, then maybe people will view them differently. FSU had their chance to join the SEC right before they settled on Missouri. Your loss. Last edited by Blu-ray Neo; 12-11-2013 at 09:18 PM. |

Yeah man, we have no chance against the mighty SEC. Why even play the game. ![]() Another thing Clemson beat UGA before the injuries and Miami beat UF before their injuries and we smoked both Clemson and Miami. What is your excuse for that since the ACC is so weak? Last edited by emac213; 12-11-2013 at 10:16 PM. |
