I finally got around to watching Batman VS Superman 3D but only half the movie ...
It looked great in 3D and other than the 3D the movie itself was really good. Sure its more serious but I liked that about the DC movies.

Marvel movies are comedies. All of them. I like that DC movies arent.

Just watched Lost in wrestling. The 3d was very good but the film was all over the place so will be getting rid of this one

Picked this one up last year, and i have to say I was rather disappointed - I know some folks liked it, but I found it mostly flat, and then just pushed back into the screen with very little depth... but the movie itself is wonderful. It's not an auto-convert to be sure. Let us know your opinion if you get a chance to watch it!

I'd recently seen a copy of Lynch's Dune 3D available but didn't buy it for fear of it being like this or worse, an auto convert - did anyone see this for themselves? The film is a glorious mess, but the idea of seeing Sting floating around in 3D wearing winged undies made us laugh...

What Paul said. My TV's 3d function did as well or better.

got Geostorm in the mail today from Amazon Japan, it has a slipcover, but has no digital copy however, i was gonna get the U.S. blu ray 3d edition but i decided not to because it was hard to get this movie in 3d in the U.S. making this title available only online, the last few blu ray 3d releases from Warner Bros. have been hard to get my hands on.

i like the cover art on the Japanese release more than i do the American release's cover art.

i missed this one in the theater in 3d, can't wait to see how the 3d is in this movie.

Just watched Winged Planet from the BBC Earth series.

This is one of those documentaries that cannot be appreciated unless seen in 3D. Utterly breathtaking! Tremendous color and detail accompanied by a fully immersive DTS HD audio taking advantage of all five separate channels.

Certain shots contain a bit of crosstalk and you know what? No big deal. It's something one might not notice immediately because of the stunning overall picture and unless annoyed by unwanted but minute impefectations, there is nothing one should be upset about.

Highly recommended for lovers of nature films and 3D in general.

Hi Paul,

Isn't Dune anaglyph as well? Thought I read the Blu-ray came with glasses.

Saw SOLO (Star Wars) in IMAX 3D.

The 3D was mostly medium, with a few here and there HIGH moments.
Funny that the trailers always seem to have a strong 3D (on par with TFA).

The best 3D of the night was not doubt the second trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp! Damn just the first shot of him talking with is daughter... Can't wait to see that one

Back the SOLO, the movie was OK... A few good moments, and a scene in the final minutes that took me by surprise and I loved it. Prefer Rogue One to this.

EDIT: Just found out that Ron Howard was in Lisbon Portugal and he saw the movie with us... I didn't see him, but he was there!

Just got this in. I don't normally buy cartoons unless they have some nostalgic value, but at ten dollars, I couldn't resist ordering something that would be delivered in two days. Ahh for the good old days when Amazon US sold 3D movies. If I hadn't gotten hooked on a few series on Prime video, I'd dump Prime.

Hi Paul,

Found what I came across.

This is a bluray release of the extended version from Intergroove Media which is anaglyph. It too is a German import and the 3D was reviewed as horrible. It also came without any glasses. Review is lengthy.

Had myself worried for a moment that I was imagining things.

Imax Arabia.

It's out of print but got a used copy for $23 with free shipping through eBay.

Oh, if I can only find a regionA 3D Young Detective Dee Rise of the Sea Dragon that isn't the one that freezes up at the 1:07 point. It's available through a Kuwait website but they don't ship to the United States. And after we liberated them from Iraq too!

Hey Joey3D

I recently picked up Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon 2D at my local Fry's Electronics for $3.99. Unfortunately, they only have three stores this side of the Mississippi (Illinois, Indiana and Georgia). But they do sell it on-line at Frys.com for the same price. Here's my suggestion - buy the 2D version and give it the 3D simulation. That's what I intend to do. I know it won't be the same, but at that price, why not.

Pretend I'm a voice in the cornfield,

If you buy it (and simulate it), it will ease your pain

Hi Wally and Kurosawa,

Thanks to you both for following up on this for me. I gather e bazaar is like eBay but for the price as Kurosawa calculated, that's asking way too much. And that does not include the shipping!

Although I'm sure it has it, there was also no mention of English subtitles.

Again guys, thanks for helping out a fellow 3D brother.

Hi Kurosawa,

I've so often considered doing that. The bluray region A editions can be found fairly inexpensively on the web. Could simulate it, but having already had a taste of the real 3D, it just wouldn't be the same.

But thanks for wanting to ease my pain. I'm thinking of you speaking to me from that corn field as Sybok, Mr. Spock's brother!

The EAN# (4895154907024) matches the Hong Kong version with English subtitles listed here in the database (and the back cover).
