Exactly my feelings. The other one was cool but it was more about establishing a mysterious vibe so it didn't get me going, it didn't even get really 'Star Warsy' until the shot of the Falcon and the theme kicks in. But this one, jeez, from the first frame until the last it's got Star Wars oozing from every pore.

Why not Luke? The cutaways fit perfectly with the voiceover, which I think is the whole point.

It's the exact same reading from ROTJ. They just trimmed it to fit the trailer, as is common practice.

Trailers can deceive in this way. To quote Obi-Wan "They didn't. But we are meant to think they did." Just saying it's a possibility. Why would Luke's fake hand no longer by flesh colored?

If Luke is talking to his offspring...than does he have a daughter or son??
