As to the aspect ratios, from what we understand, the films were partially financed by theatrical pre-sales to foreign territories, meaning that they were both shot for U.S. television (1.33) and possible foreign theatrical (1.85). We give the Blu-ray customer the choice to view the films in whichever aspect ratio they choose. You can A/B them yourself and see what looks better to you.

However, we don't know that any of these films ever actually did play a foreign theatrical market, so for historical purposes, the 1.33 version is probably most accurate. Unsurprisingly, they currently air on digital streaming services, via the licensor (Multicom), in widescreen.

Appreciate the thorough explanation (which warrants a Thanks). The Primetime Panic boxset I'm still interested in getting.

It’s a clear Viva Elite Blu-ray case housed in an outer Slipcase.

Nevermind, after another look at the photos I can see it's the digipack kind. Hope this is the last one cause I'd rather have a nice slip.

Ah, I think I understand. It is odd though, that FCE is using a digipak for this release after using other packaging for their previous releases.

I assume he means it has a slipcase like Criterion digipaks do, but even those are different. The actual case is not a Digipak, but a regular plastic case.

The only difference from their other releases is that this one has a slipcase (side opening) instead of a slipcover (open on top and bottom).

I believe slipcase and slipbox are used interchangeably, when it covers 5 sides.

Right, it's a side-opening slip, rather than top-bottom. The materials used to make it are the same as every other slipcover we've done. Most of the time, they will be top-bottom (O-card). We changed it up for this title because of the concept of the packaging.

And just to tie this up neatly, the disc comes in a standard plastic case, not a digipak, correct?

Maybe some people don’t know a cassette tape anymore I’m getting old. They of course opened always on the side. Great concept and awesome artwork! I did a first VS order to reduce the BF sale package and ordered this and the Primetime Boxset. Fun City releases I always happily pay full price keep up the great work and greets from Germany
