I just think it's funny that if an ACC team does something bad once or twice, it's a pattern showing how terrible they are. But if a SEC team does it in their last 3 games, it's proof that they are good and can overcome adversity.

![]() You have got to lay off the Kool-Aid brah. ![]() The last time a TRUE ACC member won the National Championship was in 1999. ![]() And no you can't count Miami in 2001. They were still a member of the Big East. Apparently it isn't just me that does not respect the ACC because they haven't earned it. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sport...obref=obinsite http://www.southernpigskin.com/forums/viewthread/10325 http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-...17--ncaaf.html http://thebiglead.com/2013/05/20/the...ofoundly-weak/ http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/col...al-perception/ "The ACC Championship...where a medium soda costs more than the game ticket." - Studhub.com user "ACC football stinks." - Andy Staples CNN-SI Put simply..... Watching FSU run up the score on teams like Wake Forest and the like is as compelling as watching the Food Network. |

Well, if the SEC expands again like the rumors are saying, I would be all for you guys joining. You're competitive, fairly good TV market, plus it gives us another footprint in Florida. I remember the Culpepper days when you all first joined Div. I. I would also consider adding East Carolina or someone like NC State. Both of them like you guys, are football schools that have a somewhat loyal following. No way. ![]() Last edited by Blu-ray Neo; 12-12-2013 at 01:53 AM. |

But I like how you want to use history to state why this year's FSU team won't beat Auburn. You realize history is meaningless during a game, right? |

They're not a good team by any means, but they could be. They remind me a lot of South Carolina prior to joining the SEC. To be honest, they've been more competitive than your precious Georgia Tech over the last couple of years. 2010 Georgia Tech: 6-7-0 NC State: 9-4-0 2011 Georgia Tech: 8-5-0 NC State: 8-5-0 2012 Georgia Tech: 7-7-0 NC State: 7-6-0 2013 Georgia Tech: 7-5-0 NC State: 3-9-0 Plus, NCSU has gotten those signature wins against FSU, GT, UNC and Clemson. NCSU may be a little weak competition wise, but they do have the lucrative TV market (Raleigh-Durham) and it would give the SEC a footprint in North Carolina. NCSU overall isn't that bad per say though. I mean, they did beat FSU last year and in 2010. ![]() For a while, there were rumors that the SEC had approached Virginia Tech and NC State about possibly joining. There was even a buzz about the SEC paying half of their ACC buy-out clauses to entice them to join. I don't know whatever happened with that and I don't think we will ever know exactly. Quote:
I love how people refer to South Carolina as USCJr. People tend to ignore that South Carolina (The USC) was founded in 1801. California was granted statehood in 1850 and the University of So. Cal wasn't founded until 1880. That means that the University of South Carolina was founded 49 years PRIOR to California even becoming a state and 79 years before SC was even thought of. ![]() |

So, in spite of the fact that the SEC in the BCS era has never had less than 2 bowl losses in a season (and even those years are rare), and in spite of the fact that the SEC isn't as dominant this year as they've been in the past, THIS is the year where they only lose 1 game.
History can generally tell whatever story you want it to. |

Haha, Steve Spurrier is the biggest Troll on the planet. The Capital One Bowl twitter Feed quoted him as saying
"Somebody told me the Gators are staying home for the holidays, maybe we can get a bunch of Gators to come to our game." Not as classic as " You can't spell citrus without UT", but still... |

there are those that will pull for auburn because they are from this state or because they are in the sec. eff that noise. that ain't happ'nin at my house. i'll be pulling for FSU all the way. yeah i'd like to see the crystal football stay in this state for a 5th straight year and for the sec to win it for the 8th straight year. but not if that means that auburn will be getting it. plus Jameis Winston is from my hometown so i'm pulling for him, too. |
