Never ordering from Rightstuf again. I received my 35th anniversary Akira manga box set damaged and torn. When I spoke to a customer service rep, I was informed that they need to hear back from publisher until they can refund me. That’s not my problem. I sent pics of damage and willing to ship back. I just want my money back. Almost every time I’ve ordered from them, I receive damaged goods. This is the last straw for me. I understand it can be the mailing route but I don’t understand how I can order items from South Korea and receive my products in pristine condition yet Rightstuf 8 out of 10 times delivers damaged merchandise. Has anyone else had problems with Rightstuf?

I only ever had an issue with Rightstuf shipping a heavy oversized item, but never with anime. In my case it was that oversized, two-volume Ghibli Nausicaa VN set in a storage box - they packed it with very little paper inside the shipping box, not snugly like heavy objects need to be packed - it should be packed tightly enough that it is not able to move around inside the shipping box at all when you shake it. Almost all the chipboard box corners got smashed badly enough that the books inside were damaged, too. I had to send that one back TWICE with damage until they finally got it right the third time. That was about 3 years ago, though.

I might go and see if FedEx has it and it not then I'll message RS and see if they might have the tracking.

Oh a happier note my Silent Voice LE has shipped.

Unfortunately, and this is related to the previous conversation, the person who packed my set at RightStuf damaged my chipboard box by placing the keychain underneath it. I just sent Ann a message asking if she could send me a replacement box.

I have never had any issues with RS but I only order anime from them & not manga.

I went and saw The Shape of Voice recently and was able to get some of the art cards:

Loved it so much I imported it and The Heart Wants to Shout (blind buy).

Another blind buy, this time a limited edition of Black Butler. So I know nothing about this series and bought it on a whim. I really try to not judge a book by its cover, but my instincts tell me BL/Shouta.

Received three today - no Skip Beat! yet for me, though. A Silent Voice CE and In This Corner of the World CE - both in chipboard boxes with printed Clear-plastic slips for a three-dimensional look, from the UK:

That's a really bad sign, though, because I bet they packed them all the exact same way, so we're probably all screwed...

The slipbox damage probably needs to be brought up ASAP on the KS comment section. That way the other backers that haven't had their stuff shipped out can avoid this happening to them as well. I'm guessing mine came like this as well.

Pick ups from Youmacon this year. Apparently I had some Discotek catching up to do...

I also probably paid a little too much for Hyouka ($55 each), but considering the slipcover for part 1 seems to not be a thing anymore, screw it. Can't spend it when you're dead, MIRITE?

Is that a DVD or blu of Wind Named Amnesia? I absolutely love that one! Kazuo Yamazaki did some really great stuff like Five Star Stories, Ikkoku, and UY.

DVD. AFAIK, that one doesn't have a BD out, but I've only ever owned it on VHS so I figured it was time for an upgrade :P

Yep, there isn't a BD for Amnesia. I was hoping that there was at least a higher quality SD source out there for Discotek to grab, but when I double-dipped, I was disappointed to see they had to work with the same material CPM did all those years ago.

Looks like my scheduled Delivery day is Tuesday - so I might get lucky and receive it on Monday. It's currently at the Surepost facility about an hour away from me...
