I don't love Gladiator. The Hannibal soundtrack is great, but the best piece came from Patrick Cassidy.

Braveheart is better than Gladiator. Gladiator always felt like it was trying too hard, even with the 3 stand-out performances by Phoenix, Honsou and Crowe.

Fair enough.

I think Gladiator gets too much flack. It's Scott's 2nd best after Alien.

I do think it's better than Alien, Aliens topped its predecessor in every conceivable way.

I do agree that Aliens is better than Alien but the gap is quite small.

The only Cameron film that is vastly better than any Scott film remains T2.

Between T1 and Aliens, it's a toss-up. If i want to be entertained i would pick T1, but if I want a revolutionary film that is also more "serious" i'll pick Alien.
