Well, a man can dream, can't he?

Also, plans do change.

I just hope they don't dump off a bunch of Chaplin's in their Eclipse line. They all deserve top-notch treatment.

Thanks, just sent payment via PayPal.

Is Criterion pretty quick about sending out the cases?

Northeast bias! Us southerners are screwed when it comes to screenings.

There is never any Janus releases playing around me. Actually no arthouse, silent, B-movie at all. Only Rocky Horror Picture Show and the fact that Louisville started Lebowski Fest (that is tonight). But I would trade that for a chance to see Breathless on the big screen like some of you can do right now.

Their shipment of replacement cases can range from days to many weeks. I'd be prepared for weeks and hope for the best.

Look forward to watching it... $12 for that set...that's the lowest I have ever seen it. Btw...our HV is now 90% and I went to town with that Foreign Section like you did... Needless to say, I've spent way to much on all these crazy sales that I won't recover until probably Black Friday....hehe...

I still would like to look around to find more stores closing. It's fun buying stuff up, until you get in your car and see how much you just spent.

If they did that someone from marketing would need to get fired. That would be a monumental fail from a strictly business perspective.

Yep...but you never know if that title will be there tomorrow, that's the thing. So, I struck at 40-60% for the ones I wanted. But I was taking the risk and putting my bet that no one in my county buys foreign films. Hehe... Only two titles sold that I wanted which was "Y Tu Mambien" (which is OK if the Criterion version is coming out) and "Black Book" but today, scored everything I wanted for $1 each (so many people kept recommending me to get "Pusher I, II and III" for some reason).

Even found some Antonioni DVD's such as "The Passenger" and "Eros". But I'm not so overly worried about the Criterion BD's and getting them now, I'm sure that Amazon will have theirs not long after B&N's sale ends.

Looks like someone messed up the release year for Monsieur Verdoux and The Gold Rush (though the latter has the re-release cut's year of release).

I don't really consider a 4 hour drive each way close, but maybe.
Pittsburgh gets some arthouse stuff in from time to time, but it's usually in some cramped theater that's not worth getting lost in the city for.

The Passenger is great. Isn't Eros that film that has 3 directors? Antonioni, Soderbergh, and I think Wong kar wai?

Terrible or not, I haven't been to any arthouse films on the big screen. Louisville has a theater for that stuff, but has only been showing new indie and Hollywood stuff (with a midnight Rocky Horror every month).

Janus or Rialto pictures, if you read this, PLEASE SEND ANYTHING to Louisville KY. There is alot of arthouse fans here.

Does anyone know if the Seven Samurai blu-ray will have the movie on one disc and extras on the second or will they be stupid and split the movies and extras over both discs?
