Especially since all 3 were released in the '90s.

The very early stages.

Work done so far:
  • Switched out the Title Treatment on the front poster for the more commonly used theatrical poster TT (I discovered several versions of the TT but the one used here is the most commonly used)
  • Cleaned up the poster (there were significant crease marks)
  • Worked the UK Quad into a textless poster (this took no small amount of effort)
  • Worked up a bamboo frame to house two photos on the back
  • Worked longer bamboo sticks to house special features and synoposis listings.

Obviously the back is very much a WIP

I wonder why they changed the title from "The Bridge Over The River Kwai" (as its was for Boulle's book) to "The Bridge On The River Kwai"

Well here's the current state of that WIP:

Comments and/or suggestions for improvements are welcome

Again, like most of your work. I love it. But I don't care for the TT to be squished like that... I know it's a long title, have you tried to see what it looks like stacking "on the" or making it smaller so the TT doesn't looks so tall and thin compared to the front?

This is going to be an awesome collection once you're all done... if you're ever all done, lol.

If you want them, please pm me.
In the synopsis for the second TMNT film it says pizza deliver boy instead of delivery.

I need a change of pace.

I'll keep working on the WWII Collection, but after the "Bridge on the River Kwai" custom ended up being so uninspired, I wanted to take a short departure:

[Dragonslayer]
Wow, I just watched this movie on Netflix a few days ago and was considering doing a custom myself.

Looks fantastic so far.

Has anyone done or seen covers for the Marvel Phase One movies? Id like to have them all in similar style covers so I could display them under "M" for Marvel. (Ie. The spine would say Marvel Phase One: Iron Man instead of Iron Man) thanks for the help!!!

I think I was one of the few people who went to see "Dragonslayer" in the movie theater in 1981. As a young nine or 10 year old I long remembered that scene in the lake (where the gender of one of the group is revealed), which wasn't quite as exciting when I saw the movie again over a decade later.

For its time the ILM produced dragon effects were awe-inspiring.

Well I saw it as well in 81 at the theater! My cousin and I were 15 and thought it was amazing, also saw "Clash of the Titans" that same summer if memory serves. The cover is looking wonderful!

That "compendium" didn't have these two titles so I'm wondering if anyone has made custom covers for them.

Fantasia 2-movie collection (my artwork is damaged on the spine)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition (have the disc only)

Could also use cover art for Green Hornet 3D if possible (I have the 3D disc only from a friend who mistakenly bought that version instead of the 2D version).

edit: Oh and a custom cover for the 4-disc Ninja Turtles set would be cool, too. No need to really incorporate the CGI film into the artwork but mentioning it on the back or something would be nice. Hell the artwork from the Pizza Box set just transferred to a dimension that would fit into a blu-ray case would work very well I think.

Thank you

Honestly 20 years later I'd say they're still very impressive. I had heard and read for years about the film's pioneering use of go motion and wasn't let down. It really helped make Vermithrax more organic, and if it wasn't for the optical compositing I think it would have been a seamless effect.

A question about your cover: did you make the TT yourself, or acquire it from somewhere? There are a couple examples on Customaniacs (where I got a number of usable resources) but they unfortunately don't match the poster/VHS TT at all.
