Oh dear Christ. I always thought Lucas was a little child with tons of money. Now I'm sure.

I cancelled my order.

There will definately be another set down the road anyway, maybe with the correct versions of the films..

I have a feeling you might be waiting for quite a while...

If those US sets are region free I think I'll grab just the Original Trilogy-set when it hits around $28.

There are only 4 changes that Lucas should have made, which would have made this set a day 1 purchase.

1. Reinserting the original scene of Han shooting first
2. Editing Jar Jar out completely
3. Putting Sabastian Shaw back in as the ghost of Anakin in Episode 6
4. Adding the ghost of Qui-Gon Jinn to the end of episode 6, to "bookend" the 2 trilogies together.

If those 4 changes, and ONLY changes were made, then this set could have been the best blu-ray set ever released. Lucas is a fool.

I wonder if the price dropped on Amazon by £10 because of people cancelling their pre-orders (in light of the changes made by Lucas)?

I have the original theatrical versions of the original trilogy that came out in 2006. Are they worth much now or is it worth selling them cheap to a friend? If I sell them to a friend I could ask him to let me keep the theatrical disc and let him have the special edition one, and I don't think he would mind, but if they are worth quite a bit of money, honestly I wouldn't mind that much parting with them completely. Anyone have any experience of selling them?

Probably price matching Tesco.

My guess would be because if it is £10 cheaper there, more people will order from them and thus they will make more money. It could also be because of the 15% off voucher that Tesco Entertainment offered. I think all the shops know that despite the changes and the fan backlash, these boxsets will still make a lot of money.

I cancelled my pre-order. I'm not paying for this piece of shit. The good thing is that it saves me £60 this month
