Even though there are conversions like Jurassic Park (direct conversion) and Pacific Rim 3D (hybrid conversion) with even stronger 3D than Predator 3D (budget direct conversion), it's still nice to see a lot of Predator fans appreciate the 3D here.
Absolutely.

I hope to see more 1980s and up movies get converted like this. I really enjoyed seeing Top Gun in 3-D as well. If the studios keep this up I will gladly keep triple and quadruple dipping on my favorite films.

Default Troubleshooting?

Can anyone tell me if they are having play back problems (in 2D BluRay) sometime around 1:20+ (about chapter 21 onward)?

Right about when the final fight happens, the audio and video start to freak. The video acts laggy and the audio becomes choppy. This is basically the remainder of the film, forcing me to watch the DVD disc. It's like watching Predator on a bad internet connection, streaming.
The movie becomes unwatchable.
Imagine, as soon as the Predator starts to open fire and the trees are exploding, all you hear and see is the explosion cutting up and loosing sync.
I just pressed "stop" and the screen went black and the audio continued for a moment.

I was trying to get feedback from my Sony's Support Chat, thinking it might be the player. The Firmware is updated and I even had to restore the factory settings.

Thought I would ask, and see if anyone may know.
It doesn't seem like it, I tried to glance though the pages and didn't see anything. I have also not seen any mention on other sites selling the movie or reviewing it.
I did replace this disc also. The original copy I bought I returned to the store and exchanged it for another copy. The movie is doing the exact same thing regardless of disc change.

The only other thing he suggested was to change the R/Y/W audio/video output cables. I do not own an HD TV or sound system so this player is hooked up using the 'ol cables. I have never needed to change the cables before on anything.

This seems to be the only BluRay I own that is doing this.
The only other problem I have ever had was having a quick "static" flash on a couple older movies (namely the '89 Batman Steelbook release and the first two live action TMNT movies, off the top of my head).

What TV/display are you using?

I haven't had that happen yet, but will keep it in mind next time for the 2D viewings. Sorry to hear about that.

I thought the 3d in this movie was better than expected. I am hoping they do more older movies in 3d. Maybe one day we will see true lies in 3d. They havent even released the bluray yet!

I'd settle for T1 with the original mono track and proper color timing and T2 without the DNR.

Yeah, T1 and 2 would be fine. I did enjoy 3 and Salvation even though Cameron didn't do those.

Would love to have Terminator 2 in 3D, and how amazing would The Abyss be in 3D? Make it so please.

Anyone have some insight to the version slated to be released in the UK in 2 weeks? Seems odd for them to release another version of it just 3 months later and up the price. Wonder if it's a steelbook.

Erm, I think it's just the 3D disc on its own without the 2D UHE.

Just watched this tonight and thought it was pretty darn good! I also went in with low expectations.....and was pleasantly surprised. I picked this up today at my local Best Buy. Its been along time since I've seen this on the shelf and I just couldn't help myself! Cant wait for April to get here with 47 Ronin, The Desolation Of Smaug, and The Legend Of Hercules......going to be a great year in 3D!

The 3D was very well done with lots of depth and layering. Count me impressed. Easily better than Top Gun or I Robot in 3D...much better actually
