Not sure what that'll shut up really. It's a bit hard to argue 7 straight national titles and 9 in 15 years isn't complete domination.

congrats to the Sooners. they played a helluva game and our o-line couldn't block for shit. giving up 7 sacks is one way you don't win a game. and the defense giving up big plays is the other way.

again, congrats to the Sooners.

wish i had some beer.

Chad, we all know they are the best conference, but not this year.

Roll tide, roll! Although you had to have some idea they might not be up for this game after the way the Auburn one ended, hard to recover from something like that.

I love it when the big fish go down. Ha ha ha. I can't stand the Sooners, but I like Bama even less. Great win for Oklahoma.

So supposedly this year's Fiesta and Sugar Bowls had the highest two point spreads in BCS history. And look at the results.

Fiesta:
UCF - 52
Baylor - 42

Sugar:
Oklahoma - 45
Alabama - 31

Both were roughly 16-17 point underdogs and won convincingly.

They are so dominant that arguably the best school in the conference just lost to a 17 pt underdog...

Personally I'm pissed that UCF got no love from the national media for our significant win

I'm still a little ticked we're constantly referred to as "Central Florida." The entire Fiesta Bowl they called us that. As if somehow we're so obscure nobody watching the game would know who they're referring to if they called us UCF. We still get...

i guess it's no worse than when vern lundquist calls lsu louisiana state. he says it so much you'd think he didn't know they'd rather go by lsu or that noone knows who lsu is.

A much better end to the season than last year. Some of those shots of Saban on the sidline were priceless.

i honestly didn't think that would have any bearing on this game. the guys knew how the 2008 sugar bowl went (even though none of the current players were even on that team, they were all still in high school) and they were trying to avoid the same thing from happening.

oklahoma said they weren't getting any respect from anyone outside of oklahoma and they had something to prove to themselves and to the rest of the college football world. they simply out-played us on every level. good for them, bad for us.

next season may be worse.....

You are dreaming if you think the last two years were "undisputed".

Notre Dame wasn't nearly the cream of the crop last year, and two years ago the SEC played itself during a year in which the entire conference had one good OOC win pre-bowls.

They can only play who was put in front of them admittedly, but the entire system goes out of its way to favor the SEC at the moment. Thank god the BCS BS is over this year.

I think these may be the best 2 posts I've read here. A Bama fan that's not crazy as hell and someone nailing how the SEC is propped up. Just because a team wins a BCS championship does not make that conference the toughest. When FSU wins Monday will that make the ACC the best? No. It means FSU is the best.

If Mora does indeed leave UCLA, that is going to be a HUGE loss for them.

Well, before you shovel more dirt on them, they do currently have the best bowl record.

That was an amazing performance by the Sooners. I told my wife after the first series they looked like they were playing for the national championship. Their offensive output didn't really surprise me, having watched Alabama give up a ton of yards and points to Texas A&M and Auburn, films from which games are probably still scattered all over the offices back in Norman.

What did surprise me was the turnovers and sacks. OU's offense was electric, but Mike Stoops deserves a huge amount of credit for figuring out how to get to McCarron. That last sack/touchdown was only a four man rush.

And I was glad to see Bama came to play, unlike the 2009 Sugar Bowl. Unfortunately for them, Oklahoma was simply the better team.
