Also if you can't scan a straight image then scan beyond it borders so nothing is lost (in other words don't crop anything).

Then we can work with something the right size rather then try to upscale a lower rez and lower quality image.
I'll try to scan some better pictures soon then. Are those the needed dimensions? To get the entire image would it just be 1525 doubled (for front and back) and adding 130 for the 14mm spine? So in total 3180 x 1762?

Yes, its actually 3173 x 1762. 1762 is height then you have
1523 back + 127 spine + 1523 front = 3173

I just went over a few pixels.

I will see what I can create for you with my limited PS skills

Also your scans look good, l might sharpen and clean up black levels, but they seem to be fairly good scans, but just too low rez for a cover.

I would keep the title, but I would put it a little higher up. They both look good so far.

Not sure what you would use for the inside spine. Hopefully you can sharpen up the words and enhance the colors if possible. Thanks for whatever you can accomplish. And if you want to take some creative liberties feel free. I was just giving my idea for what seems like would be the easiest way since I have all of this artwork from the box set.

This reminded me; I really wish some graphic artists would learn the difference between a bullet and a cartridge.

Odd, the height I see on these is at most 1600. Example back cover is 1303 x 1600. Perhaps its forum software resizing these down. If so just PM me and I can give you my email. Otherwise you are not scanning at a high enough dpi. Certainly 600dpi would be move then 1600.

I certainly can, but we need to start with good dpi scan and work from their first.

Maybe TinyPic resized them. They are 1762 on my computer. They were larger but I thought you wanted the 1762 size. Haha I'll try and scan them again tomorrow when I get more time.

Glad you guys like the Turtles covers! Nissen was awesome to work with and really brought the designs to life. I'm writing a blog post about their creation, and then we'll release them for download.

Very nice! Slick and professional looking. Actually, slick isn't the right word, as this is rough and grungy looking, which fits the theme nicely. I like that there's not a single straight line on there, ha ha.

Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future.

I'm thinking these would look very nice as retro VHS covers, provided you add the red borders on the front, back, and spine.
