Okay guys, I have a question, hopefully this doesnt sound to stupid. But, here goes... Okay, I just got an XPA-3 and I have an Onkyo 805. When hooking up the XPA-3 to my Onkyo Pre-Outs, the XPA-3 has only 1 unbalanced plug while my Onkyo has 2 for each channel (L & R) obviously...So... How does this work? Do you use both the L&R pre outs on the Onkyo or only 1 of them to the single unbalanced plug on the XPA-3. Thanks.

your xpa-3 should have balanced and unbalanced inputs.
You should be able to run a rca from your onkyo to each channel of the xpa-3 rca inputs, which are unbalanced.

I think you may be confusing the speaker terminals on your receiver for pre-outs. Your Onkyo only has one pre-out for each channel, they are located under your "12V trigger output" Anything with the checkerboard around it is an output, the rest are inputs.

Nah, I know what the speaker terminals are. I was looking at the ones in the checkered box right under the 12 volt trigger, with "pre out" under the checkered box. So it looks like I was in the right place. But I thought there were 2 for each one (one on top then the one below it). Maybe I was looking at it wrong.

I think I have it figured out now.. Just one other question...For example, for the "FRONT" pre out, there is a red and white plug, does it not matter which goes to the left or right front?

Ok, ignore the last part. Left front is the white and Right front is red, correct?

Look to the right of that section, there is a "L" and a "R"...the white is "L" and the red is "R".....I think you are overlooking the small letter that designates what is right and left for the fronts and surrounds. For the center, just use the white output.

Sorry if it was insulting but it was the only thing I could come up with that had 2 outputs, I was hoping that wasn't the case, lol.

It's a single RCA for each individual channel, in the case of yours:

White - Front Left
Red - Front Right
Blue - Surround Left
Grey - Surround Right
Teal - Center

Hope this helps.

Looks like it will come tomorrow. They said it's in 3rd party hands to deliver out to me. Was picked up this am, so tomorrow for sure they said.
Oh well, 1 more sleep!

Wow! You're taking it better than I would. I would be anxiously waiting on the front step until around 7 tonight. Then maybe the realization that I'm not getting it today would sink in. Until that time though, any car that drove up my street would be eagerly watched to make sure they are or aren't stopping by my place.

but that's just me.
