This has been happening for about a year now. Most of the LE box sets I was looking at showed up after release date and were usually sold by third party vendors. The exception being Years of Lead. William Grefe, Bill Rebane etc.... have never been sold by 'Amazon Canada' as far as I can tell. Even with Years of Lead Amazon Canada didn't start selling it until after release date. It seemed to start after the Gamera release happened. Before that time they seemed to list all the Arrow stuff earlier

They're supplied by UV. Not picking on UV here, but for those who aren't aware UV does Canadian distribution for Arrow

Managed to grab a copy of Arrow's OOP limited edition Outlaw: Gangster VIP collection very late last night/early this morning (sold by Amazon, new) for $69.71, I think that's a good deal?!? It immediately became "currently unavailable" after I bought it; not sure if more will pop up but mine is supposed to arrive on Monday. The only other copy being sold right now is from a third party at the mouth watering price of more than a thousand dollars lmao

Arrow's 4K Pitch Black is on sale for $29.80 all in. It says there are fees at checkout but if you choose slow shipping there isn't any additional cost, no taxes either.

Edit: After I placed my order it went back up to 37.46.

That $$$ set was limited to 5,000 copies, sold exclusively through the GKids store and apparently is SOLD OUT. Geeeee whiz.

I'm not sure about the second Collector's Edition, though. That one has the classic dubs and subtitles. Not sure if it will be sold on Amazon or not?

Pardon my ignorance, but does this mean that the subtitle tracks will vary from one edition to the other, even if you simply want to watch the series in japanese with subtitles on?

From the listing it shows the classic subs/dubs as "extras". So I'd assume each version has the "approved" subs/dubs defaulted to on for the main discs. I guess lots of fans disagreed with the choices made and wanted the classic dubs included as well.

Classic dubs and subs as extras on the more expensive Collectors Edition. The standard edition will only have the newest dubs and subs that aired on Netflix.

I'm an anime newbie so I'm getting the standard one.

I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition from RightStuf last night. On their site it's listed as an exclusive so I'm assuming it won't show up on Amazon for us, but if it does I'll just cancel and switch my pre-order to there.

The Ultimate edition is sold out. The step-down is the Collector's edition which is currently only available on Rightstuf for 174.98 USD. The min for free shipping is $250 and you pay regular tax upfront.

Mulholland Dr. and Uncut Gems won't be available in Canada domestically, so Citizen Kane and Menace II Society are all that have been announced that will be released up here.

UV mentioned they're attempting to get Uncut Gems available here. Wonder if that will be successful and whether that would cover the 4k edition too.

What makes you so sure that the new Halloween 4K releases will be $14.99 in November? If I had to guess I would say that these titles will be out of stock in Canada in November due to the high demand and how slow the distribution of physical media to Canada can be at times.
