I found the Primetime Panic trilogy on Amazon.ca for $59.86CAD, compared to $59.99USD on the VS site, which basically makes it approx. 30% less due to exchange rate differences. However, they've given Nov. 26 as the availability date. This has got to be a first.

Edit: The VS group informed me this would be the Standard edition. One standard Blu-ray case carrying 3 discs. The sleeve will be reversible and feature Jacob's front and rear artwork.

Appears so. There’s a placeholder for it on Amazon.ca but no price yet as of this writing.

We have a placeholder for Santo: El Enmascarado De Plata Blu-ray Boxed set as well.

Edit: Amazon applied a pre-order price of $90.

It's available for pre-order now, about $90. That's not as cheap as I had hoped, but a heck of a lot cheaper than ordering all 4 separately. I already have Fury Road, but I need the other 3, so I can just give that away to a friend.

They have a guarantee of the lowest price if it is ordered now. A buyer pays the lowest posted value between the time order until the day it ships. Someone would probably save a small amount.

Oh I know, that has benefitted me quite a few times. Although I have to admit there are times when I've preordered, only to see the price of the item drop a decent amount in the days directly after release (which is hugely frustrating).

I've followed quite a number of new releases with Keepa and almost without fail, by day 30, if not a bit sooner, the price has dropped substantially. Having said that, following this 30 day price drop, hell has almost frozen over before you see that price again as the price slowly rises to something ridiculous and tends to hoover around there almost forever.

Sometimes looking back on a CCC graph of Amazon prices is painful when you see a blu-ray that once was ~$9 back in 2014 is now $30 and looks to have permanently stayed at that price.

I'm not sure what the driving reason for this behaviour could be, all I know is it stinks

Yeah there's a few things I'm kicking myself for not ordering back when they were a decent price, but after reading up on the Mad Max set a bit more I think it's probably going to be a good candidate for a price drop. Only includes a 4K disc for each title and sounds like they'll be packaged in a single case, so a "budget" set relatively speaking.

Yep, Red Shoes 4K is $56.45

Sadly, we won't be getting Mulholland Drive in 4k here. We also won't be getting Uncut Gems, unless UV is able to secure the distribution rights to it in Canada, hoping for a miracle on that one.

Worth keeping an eye on this page: here for upcoming titles.

Luc Besson's Subway (1985) is the lowest I've seen at $23.74 + shipping; it was ~C$60 for ages. I like the movie but was not going to pay C$60 for it. Finally on sale.

Thanks, it's a bummer cause I want Mulholland Drive the most. I wonder what will be the best way to acquire it once it's released.

it is available for preorder on wowhd
https://www.wowhd.ca/mulholland-driv...n/715515265812

same price as the other non-Citizen Kane 4ks on amazon.ca but taxes included

edit: might be slightly cheaper if you go with deepdiscount though, 35.99 US so approx $46 Cdn

Actually it's a little more at the present moment, $8 USD shipping for DD. So $43.98 USD total. DD's 15% coupons roll in quite frequently, so I'd imagine that would be the best time to purchase it from them provided they have an additional discount to Criterions at the time.

Honestly, I wish criterion.com would offer world mail again. I hate DHL's import charges with a passion, as they kill any deals you might get from the website. I have $50 socked away in coupons that I do plan on using in the future, but even if I were to get my order down to $0, I'd still be paying $80 in shipping and import fees. Frigging ridiculous.

I stand corrected, actually I forgot that DD charges for shipping, since I did use a 15% coupon the only time I ordered from them which pretty much covered all the shipping costs. wowHD it is then.

What's the reason we aren't getting Mulholland Drive 4K here, anyway? We have the existing Criterion BR so seems odd they wouldn't stock the 4K as well, but who knows. In any case, will likely grab it from DD when it's on a decent sale.

Anyone else’s Halloween #1 pre order still failing to drop to the current $29.91 price? My order is still sitting at $30.12.
All four of the others have dropped right away to their lowest prices. Some without me even seeing them drop! lol
