That's waht I thought, too. I would have preferred standalones. This might be an indication that the quality might be subpar.

Mako master is perfect. Problem is many bought it off arrow so camera negatives doesn't matter for them....

The new blu-ray using the 35mm camera negative should be a big step up from the Arrow blu-ray which used two 16mm prints:

Mako: Jaws of Death was scanned from two 16mm prints, which were composited for best quality sections of each. The audio was also sourced from these prints.

I think from my research is that Mako is the original version released in Florida (and later to TV), and the JAWS OF DEATH version is what was released nationally.

I didn't see the film until last year, but a clip from it freaked me out as a child when I saw this awesome documentary

True, but the Arrow transfer looked like crap. I don't mind buying it again, plus seeing Bog in something higher than a worn VHS transfer is a plus.

Bog is a day-one buy anyway, so an alternative transfer for Mako is just icing on the cake
