Since they are screening the 3D versions of Episodes II & III at Celebration, you think there's any chance they (along with Episode I) will make their way to blu?
I always thought they scrapped the conversions, but apparently they were finished and just scrapped the releases.

Some questions:

1. Who is the fight choreographer for this film? Abrams Star Treks are great but the fight scenes aren't that memorable or interesting. The same goes for MI3.

2. When Han says, "We're home," is it possible that he's actually speaking about where Han is originally from?

2. I doubt it. He says "we're home" Chewie and Han are from different planets. Since Han
[Show spoiler]lost the Falcon
sometime after ROTJ it makes sense that he would say "we're home" upon him and chewie entering the falcon. He was always very fond of the Falcon so for him and chewie she practically is their home.

Just FYI: At least he posted some information about Jakku, not some obnoxious, exasperated reply in giant letters that basically says 'hey, dumbass! You're wrong!' without actually saying what the new planet was anyway.

1) Apparently they hired the guys behind The Raid.

2) The Falcon is home (because
[Show spoiler] Han and Chewie don't own the ship any more, they probably haven't seen the old girl in years
).

Leagues better than any fight scene in previous Trek films or TV series. Laughably stiff, stilted fight scenes are one of the cornerstones of old Trek.

You sure "home" doesn't just mean the old gang's back together, especially Luke?

I'm fine for it not being Tattooine, but just thought that they could've made it different. We already have a desert planet.

The Raid movies I and II have insane fights and camera work, so that would be a plus if it's true.

Trailer 2 looks awesome all around.

I fully believe had the scripts gone through revisions by other writers and the films themselves been made by different directors with Lucas strictly in a producer role, the PQ trilogy had the chance if being on the same level as the OT trilogy.

The Jedi/Sith light saber battles are proof if that by themselves.
The light saber battles were abhorrently over-choreographed in the prequels. Add to that an egregious misuse of flat, in-organic CGI, bad acting by Portman and especially one of the worst casting jobs in history of Hayden Christensen. The prequels ended up looking like video games, again perfect for the ADD generation.

Do we know it's a desert planet (as opposed to a planet with deserts and mountains and lakes and forests and snow and rain and all the other varied and assorted weathers and climates)?

While I won't disagree about the stiff performances from some key actors,
the battle between Maul vs Kenobi was epic and exciting for most of us.

That varied and fast paced style spilled into II and III also, even without Ray Park's inspiration. The original saber battles are good (especially Empire's Luke vs Vader), but Return's final saber battle choreography felt a little uninspired when compared to Maul's intense fight, with mostly left side, right side hits back and forth for a good portion of the fight.

There are only single-biome planets in the Star Wars universe, so yes, we know.

Heh, yeah, that's kind of what I was driving at.

I've never really had any real quarrel with the simplistic way the Star Wars universe treated locations. That always felt completely consistent with the comic-booky, Saturday serial, Flash Gordon approach at the heart of films.

I was just wondering if the desert locations were another in a long line of uniclimes.
