I pretty much disregard the prequels though. Horrible movies with a few good scenes.
Great rankings.

What can I say. I love star wars. Until the last year I have been married unless I was watching something else I wanted to see they were ALWAYS on in my room. Always in the background. I have two tv's set up and they'd be on while I played games every night as well.

Lol Wife ends fun stuff like that. However she loves Star Wars too. Lucked out there.

Hyperbole much?

Gosh, Harrison Frod and Carrie Fisher look so old.
Mark Hammil looks the best of the trio IMHO.
Hammil's put a lot of effort into this role. I loved his reprisal of "The Trickster" on Flash

Thanks, it's hard ranking the prequels cause I really only think of them as a few scenes out of each that I like, but I do think Episode 1 is the best of the three overall as a film. Though I hate youngling Anakin, and Jar-Jar, and that Darth Maul gets killed (the coolest character in all 3 of those films).

Eh, anyway, I hope they aren't referenced much in the new films. Really I hope there aren't many "simple references" at all to any of the prior movies, just an expansion on the story and mythology. Lucas' obsession with self-reference or "shout-outs" to fictional characters from movies that are supposed to be in the future timeline is overall possibly the most irritating aspect of the prequels. Like a random Ewok popping out from behind a tree and waving at the camera - that's my biggest fear in the Episode 7.

Just a something to ponder.
Fine. But not everyone considers such constantly moving threads to be so much white noise, because some people are capable of going back through pages that've accumulated and noticing normally formatted replies. I saw your post about Rebels, didn't I? No-one else is feeling the need to shout over the top of the 'din' FWIW, which is why it came across as being thoroughly boorish (and not just to me). Add the bit at the end: "It's not the only sandy planet in the galaxy..." with no elucidation as to what it actually is, and what did you expect to get in reply? "Oh great master, I've seen the error of my ways, please enlighten me"? You should know me better than that by now, Pete.

I wonder if the First Order army is in the same Sith code as Order 66.

The light saber battles were the best part of the prequels. It was awesome to see the Jedi at their peak of their abilities. It was really the only thing Lucas absolutely nailed spot on in my opinion.

If 6 didn't have the Jabba's stuff I would rank it #2 but that first 40 minutes is hard for me to dredge through.

Keep in mind I've seen the OT over a thousand times. Each movie.

And the Prequels a few hundred times each.

I love SW.

I just don't see anything in here that isn't fan service to people who quit watching star wars 20 years ago.

Although that Han Solo scene was awesome. LOVE Chewie.

While I'll agree with you ranking #3 as the best of the prequels, I really have to question you as a "fan" for putting any if the prequels before Empire and A New Hope!!!!
