I went back to my instagram chat with Plain to ask again about the titles that still haven't come out, and I discovered I actually got an additional message from them back in Aug 2023 that the app never alerted me about so I never saw it until today:

The Blu-ray market in Korea has all but collapsed, and we are struggling to decide whether to stay in business. We are still trying to survive. We apologize for the delayed releases.

To which I apparently responded "Thank you!" because I was replying to their earlier answers to my questions, and that message hadn't loaded for some reason, so I now I feel like a real douchebag lol

They really should focus more on the export market then.
I try to buy every release that is feasible for me and I would've loved to buy their Cure 4K, but alas no subs and therefor limiting themselves mostly to the korean market. They should aspire to get titles with the rights to print english subtitles on and they could stay afloat pretty easily, if something like Little Drummer Girl, Parasite (I didn't get :-/) or even just recently Our little Sister are anything to go by, which were sold out in a very short period of time.

TBF I don't know how expensive the backend in total is, but they could easily bulk up the quantity of the international releases and would be much easier to make bank imho.

Bring on Decision to Leave and I buy the most expensive edition, regardless of subtitles in that case ;-)
Edit: Oh yeah, and trying to lower the shipping costs would also invite more people to order more regularly.
Or even an IOSS inclusion would work wonders.

Yeah, Cure and Inspector Koo would've been easy buys for me but I skipped them due to no subtitles. I mean I guess they both sold out anyway so they didn't need my sale, but still! I might be a little crazy, but not enough to buy blurays that'll literally only gather dust because I can't watch them lol
