I just got my copy of FANGS in the mail, it was worth the wait for the cool slipcover alone!

Random film request for you Dave that I feel would fit in well with the Dark Forces line of releases.. I only just recently learned of the film "Gator Bait" but after watching it here tonight I would LOVE to pick up a Blu Ray release of it (and the sequel if possible). This feels like just the sort of off the beaten path exploitation/Drive-in relic that would make for an amazing Dark Forces release. Give it an embossed slipcover with a bit of added "dimension" to the cover art and you'd have yourself a winner for sure.

Desiree lives deep in the swamp and supports herself and her siblings by poaching. Ben and deputy Billy hope to get a little sexual comfort from the "Cajun swamp rat" when they catch Desiree trapping 'gators, and give chase. Desiree outsmarts them but Billy accidentally shoots Ben and tells his sheriff dad that Desiree did it. Ben's dad and sons join them in the search party and quickly get out of control. Soon the hunters become the hunted as Desiree exacts her revenge for their violence against her family.

Sharon started off funny then got extremely boring. Basically all just sex scenes. I'll probably watch Terri's Revenge tomorrow.

Same family that filmed and released Rocktober Blood (and it's lousy excuse for a Blu-Ray). I'm sure Bill has tried to contact them about their films, in the past, but they seem to have a reputation for being notoriously unwilling to license their films, and it's questionable whether they even have anything beyond tape masters for any of their films.

It's been a long time since I've seen either film and both were really awful transfers (haven't watched the blu versions yet), but I seem to recall Terri's Revenge being a much better film. Don't hold me to that, though.

Just got my Black Friday order with Fangs! The Dark Forces also combined that order with the one I made for Bog/Mako a couple weeks back.

I even got a free gift! They included a photo of Caroline Williams in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 signed by Williams! That was cool to find.

Yeah, Terri's Revenge is a lot better. Sharon really just feels like some clip compilation. Too bad a lot of the dialog is hard to hear in TR though. Super muffled. Sharon looks alright and TR looks terrible. Tons of film damage. I like it though. Nice aesthetic.

Damn, that's a shame. As always I appreciate the information though as that pretty much indicates that I may as well as pick up the DVD's then as a Blu Ray release isn't about to happen.

Not gonna lie the DVD doesn't look bad. Maybe they have the film for this one. Too bad they don't want to do anything with it.

I rented this back in the early to mid 80s and can remember that a female gets a shotgun blast in her vaginal area - possibly she is clothed- i haven't seen it since, but obviously no nude closeup of the damage.

Gator Bait is great. There isn’t even a HD transfer of it sadly. The Last Drive-In showed the same old SD transfer. The only films they’ve done that for is Prom Night 2 and the original Little Shop of Horrors

Yeah I actually watched it on Friday night as I was catching up with my Joe Bob Briggs Last Drive-In features and this was one of 2 films from his "Joe Bob Ruins Christmas" special from last December. The film has it's fair share of nudity but really only ever hints at the violence or has events happen off screen. The Shotgun blast to the vagina was easily the most shocking thing in the film and in some ways is equivalent to the Knife to the D bathtub scene in I Spit on Your Grave, but in the case of Gator Bait, much of the violence presented in the movie is presented off screen. The whole film sort of plays out like a more reserved version of I Spit on your Grave, unwilling to really display any of the violence/sexual violence that the former reveled in. I feel that had they "went there" and stepped over that line, that this film likely would have garnered a bigger following/reputation and as a result would be much more well known. That all said, it's an interesting product of its time for sure and one I would love to own on Blu Ray.

Look, I'm just gonna go ahead and say it.....Snakey may very well be the coolest character in any movie ever made!

My wife and I watched FANGS Friday night and we both loved it. The story takes a few minutes to get rollin' but once it does it's a fun ride all the way to the end. Also if you are wondering why the original title was "Holy Wednesday" all you need to do is watch the film, they explain it about 200 times.

Dark Force gets an A+ for preserving this film!!

We do not, the cover has the "Holy Wednesday" title on it and the slipcover has the "Fangs" title on it.

Neither does Severin. Hasn't stopped them
