Excellent comedy, decent transfer. Tara Reid was really hot in this and Ryan Reynolds was beyond hilarious in it.

luckily van Wilder doesn't suffer from the same fate as American Pie for me. in both films Reid plays the smart, "focused on school" type, when in real life she's anything but since she's always a drunken mess. i know we're supposed to leave personal life separate from film, but every time i watch American Pie i think, "of all the people to play a virgin, they pick HER?!" luckily in Wilder she isn't as 180 from her real life as she is in Pie.

He was bigger in Begins than he was in TDK. Around 230 ish before he had to lose a little because he was too big for what they wanted.

i remember all my friends came over and i was like, "dudes! look at these awesome movies i bought!" and it was Van Wilder, Spider-Man and some other ones from K-Mart (yes, K-Mart! ) and it was only another 4 months before i even owned a dvd player

oh, and diesel, you'll love this. i remember right when i started buying dvd's (now remember, i'm a youngin' so this was before i had a job and money, i was... 14? 15?) and i was looking at movies and saw The Fast and the Furious and i was like, "hey, i'm gonna buy this next week" never did, and of course didn't even see the damn thing until like a month ago

Reid has a horrible sunburn in most of this movie but still looks pretty good, I love how well-cast this movie is, I don't think this movie would've worked if all the ridiculous lines weren't being delivered by people who seem to actually believe them.

His face is literally sunken in and his muscles are all flaccid and look...wrong. Let's think of something happier, like Zoe Saldana in a tight skirt in ST, which is a movie I will watch after work.

Sorry Bro. I got hosed by Netflix. Well, not really. Antichrist had NO wait at the top of my queue. I got the email saying they mailed me a disc, but it said The Girl Who Played With Fire. WTF? I go look at my queue, and now Antichrist is "Very Long Wait".

So, although I got hosed, I didnt really, because on Wednesday TGWPWF was a long wait.

I'll review TGWPWF in a couple minutes. I am at the mercy of Netflix availability now for Antichrist.

I received Departures today. So I'll be watching that soon.

fun fact: i'm 5' 10" and all through high school i was stuck at 138 pounds (scrawny little turd, yes), could never get over 138. so about 2 months i was cleaning out our spare bedroom and found a scale and thought, "huh. i wonder if i'm still at 138" - because i have an incredible metabolism and look (i thought) the exact same. so for the first time in 4 years i weighed myself and i put in some batteries and stand on and BAM! i'm freaking ginormous at 166!

it's taken me forever to get to 166, i can't imagine how much work goes into dropping 50+ pounds for Bale's role and then gaining it back for Begins i would probably just retire from film than do that

no you're probably right at a perfect weight.

I read a while back that Bale consumed nothing but an apple and coffee each day, to lose all that weight.

haha, I know what you mean. Someoen told me about teh timing of new releases and how you have to mail back a film on the eve of a release if you want to get the new release, otherwise it'll go to "long wait" within a few days after release. <-- good info to know.

let us know how the Dragon Tattoo sequel is! Unlike Jhiggy, I'm too lazy to read it, so will just rely on movie knowledge!!!
