That’s pretty much what we’ve been doing……so that works. But I’m game for whatever everyone else wants to do.

Like I said, I’m storing shards until my hunter is ready to be leveled up. I’m working on my raid gloves and exotic gloves. Also working on my raid chest piece.

Of course once I hit 32 w/him…..that’s when I’ll finally get the arachnid helmet that I want.

I'm fine with whatever. Like yall say, Hard up to Crota is ok. It seams as we are just trying to do something (Crota part)but not having fun while trying.

Edit: I think i'm PMSing. Work has been kicking my butt.

even patrol bounties i when i see them.

Mission bounties (kill X on heroic) are the best. Just keep the checkpoint and quick easy 5k points/100 reputation.

I want to do the bridge on hard just to get 1 or 2 AR and Crota on normal for Warlock and Titan helmet.

Warlock needs boots too.

so what i'm reading, basically do the whole raid on normal and then up to the abyss on hard??

i actually like the lamps section.

Doing one set on one character isn't bad (on weekends), but gets old real quick when you do the same ones 3X. It wasn't so bad when I REALLY had something I wanted/need leveled, but I'm at the point now where I'm just leveling extra exotics because they are available to be leveled. I'll be cutting a lot of that out going forward.

I will still run Hard Crota if someone else wants to do it but not for my benefit. Just to be helping friends.

Yeah, I'm fine running lamps and bridge on HM, but Crota is just a frustrating PitA due to everything having to be perfect. I'll be happy to keep trying (to a degree), but don't really want to keep spending hours wiping with no reward in sight.

It really comes down to the sword-bearer (and I don't mean this as any sort of slight to the guys who've run the sword with us...except for when I did it, of course!). If you can't get six hits per sword (2x3), you're going to run-up against enrage unless you quickly take down the ogres and try to get one sword on Crota before he shifts again. This a near impossible when the sword-keeper takes his sweet time coming out of his cave. Then you have the boomers ignoring the agro against them at times and killing the sword bearer...or you have f'in thralls clawing you through the balcony glass. Too many things we have little control over. Either that or we just suck.

Lamp is probably the only part I do like on the raid since it feels like I am actually doing something.

I like the lamp part, it is a great idea and it has a nice even feel to it. The rest of the raid is not impressive at all to me.

I agree with all of that. I do think it's one of those things that could be enjoyable again once you can actually be even level 33. I enjoy the first parts of the raid still as well.

Don't give up on Hard Crota, once you get it down its actually not that bad. Of course we're still bipolar as there have been times where we do it first try or within 3 tries and other times we get stuck for an hour wiping. Just play it safe with the sword and he goes down quietly.

We must have different approaches because ours leaves no room for playing it safe. We get 3 attempts and any misses leaves us enraging him, lol. We did it Friday night with Ken as the sword, but Saturday was just fail after fail and it put a bad taste in our mouths....

3 hits, 3 hits, hide, 3 hits, 3 hits, ogres then hide. Let Crota move to right side and wait for him to go center again. 3 hits, enrage, 3 hits for the kill.

Having a Titan put up Blessing of Light is one of the easiest ways to leave the Ogre room without taking damage. The rest involves hopping and jumping to avoid damage (it's actually easier than it sounds).

I have beaten Crota 7x on Hard at this point and it honestly gets easier with each attempt. Just keep trying.

Problem with crota is that the reward isn't worth the frustration. I'd rather have his normal mode drops.

how many weapons drop in the hard mode that don't drop in normal??

and are there any that drop ONLY on Crota in hard??

Scout rifle is very nice, I agree other drops are meh and it's unfortunate normal drops aren't in the loot table.
