Sorry, but NONE of that places you "outside the box." You're a sober console video gamer, VR is just a subset of it, with a hipster vinyl hobby, who streams videos, and owns some discs. You have a glorified stereo, aka home theater, connected to a large screen like nearly every forum member here. Lots of people enjoy plays; nothing special about that, either.

I know an 80 year old woman who owns more movies than you do.

Your consumer behavior does not say anything substantive about who you are; we all consume. It is why we don't list our belongings on a resume. Your actions define you, not your possessions.

There's nothing particularly special about being paranoid. Your predictions show more that you have gone around the bend and that you might well belong in a box...a padded one.

OT: Open Range is a really great movie, and I’m surprised it isn’t on BD yet. Appaloosa is an even better movie.

As long as there’s a demand there will be DVDs. Most consumers still buy them and only a handful of motel/hotels have upgraded to BD players. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a few in some Motel 6’s when we drove cross country.

I’m not a hipster. I kept my vinyl from years back.

You and Octagon are the thread jokers aren’t you? Brave little keyboard soldiers both of you. . Well Donster as well but he has just resorted to thanking any posts that are negative towards myself lol.

Open Range is available as a region free French blu-ray with English audio and French sub titles or as a German blu-ray, Region B, with English audio and English subs. The German one is only 8 Euros. There are three Scandinavian editions also.

Ok, you are a retro hobbyist along with countless others. Like that label better? Still says nothing special about you.

I still have laserdiscs. It doesn't make me exceptional in any way.

I prefer to think of myself as a fierce forum freedom fighter dispelling the fears of the fervently, frequently, frightened fringe element freaks around here.

You have always liked jokes about everyone else, just not when any of them are at your expense. There's a word for that, too, ya know.

There’s a word for folk that wouldn’t say something to someone’s face but say it on forums also.

By the way, I dont join in with your jokes about others. Alchav for example. Not my style.

I know I’m different. I know myself. Dont need other people who don’t know me telling me what I am.

Not my fault that there is no video chat here. I am certain that you are just as funny in person, unintentional as that may be, as you are on these boards.

Surely, you are not challenging us to point out the many examples of where you have poked fun at others? And where you have thanked those that did? No wonder you need that large projector screen with vision that myopic.

We only know what you choose to reveal of yourself. Your possessions and hobbies are not revelatory while your fears are somewhat troubling, but not because anyone believes them, but because you obsess about them.

You are such a hypocrite and so predictable Steedeel. You poke at others and try to turn it around by playing the victim when someone refuses to take your gloom and doom predictions seriously

It’s called defending yourself. You guys made it personal. It’s not just me, I have had numerous PMS from members supporting my stance and commenting on 4 people in this thread (in a very negative way) in this thread throughout the years.

So when you are done patting yourselves on the back for your nasty comments and oh so funny gifs, remember that fact.

You presented no facts. We have no way of knowing what private messages you have received nor what was contained within them. It doesn't even qualify as hearsay.

If you have "supporters" for your "stance" none of them have had the courage to say so openly. Sorry, but I can't place much stock in the alleged support, yet alone criticisms, from people who are too afraid to express it themselves. If I have a problem with someone, I talk to that person myself, not complain about them secretively in a private message to another person. Your supposed invisible allies are not the kind I would count on in a tight corner.

You had this to say about people who sent privates messages complaining about someone behind their backs:

"Don’t worry about it, I’m the type of person that confronts rather than sending snide pm’s to other members. Whoever those people were, in my opinion, they should grow a pair."

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=9934

And an example of your considerate reply to someone else:

"You aren’t the second coming, you are just a geezer on a Blu-ray thread. In my opinion, you are the type of poster who probably sends those PM’s. After all, you don’t have a issue name dropping me. Let other people judge me."

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=9948

Kinda funny how you twice condemned those who sent such "behind the back" private messages, but now cite them as "fact" when it suits your own purpose. Consider the invitation accepted.

Then just five posts later you said this:

"Treat people as you would like to be treated yourself."

And you said it again here:

"Treat others like you want to be treated yourself."

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=11567

Followed moments later with this:

"If people are ***** to me, I will treat them that way."

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=11578

I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

You began your day in this thread with this kindly comment:

"Imo, most of you guys are sheep. You do, because others do."

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=13533

Is that your idea of starting a friendly chat? You likely saw it as a funny jab, but only because you threw it. If anyone were to call you a sheep, you'd get a knot in your woolly knickers and squeal like a stuck oinker.

No one said anything "nasty" to you. No one said anything harsher to you than what you have said yourself MANY times to many people. You have a convenient and selective memory.

I know that I can be an irritating pain in the caboose; the difference between us is that I do not PRETEND otherwise.

If real, that's pretty funny considering that (Fried) Fish & Chips is the national meal, that every sandwich has butter on it (and maybe mayonnaise as well) and you put clotted cream on everything.

But here's the thing: years ago I took a certificate program at the University of Warwick. Every morning I got up and had my little bowl of fresh fruit (without clotted cream) and watched all the locals eat sausage, kippurs, bacon, cream etc. And they were all skinnier and apparently healthier than I was.

I'm sure there must be some places in the UK that make a decent pizza, but I have never had a good pizza there. All the pizza I ever had there was doughy and horrible.

I have given ol' algae a hard time, but he often brought it on himself. I found a few such examples:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=9679

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=9970

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=10093

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=12136

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=12567

In all of those above posts, I took algae to task and sometimes not so gently, either. But you know what the real funny part is? You thanked me in every single one of them!

And there is also this little bit of sarcasm you yourself said to him directly:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=10201

To which I made a reply:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=10209

...that you also thanked me for.

There are many, many more such examples. These are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, Saint Steedy.

Yeah, you've really got alchav's back alright.

Of course we have butter on our sandwiches! You don’t?

Yeah, we tend to differ from region to region. Fish and chips are far too expensive for everyone to be able to afford them.

Personally, I only have takeaway on a weekend, for breakfast I always have porridge.

Sausages are lovely, especially Cumberland sausages. Ever tried them?

Fruit for breakfast? Not very substantial that.

Thanking a post does not allow for the attaching of emojis; nice try, though. When you thank a post, you are approving all of it unless you specifically say otherwise in a direct reply to it. You made no such replies.

The indication of your approval is obvious; you thanked me every single time and no matter how harshly I criticized him.

For someone who pretends to hate sarcasm and who laughably pretends to champion those whom he thinks are unduly the victims of it, it is more than peculiar that you would thank 12 posts dripping with it.

You also personally directed sarcasm at him your not-so noble self.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=10201

Thou art a constipated hypocrite in the most dire need of an enema that I have ever encountered.
