I think the problem will be keeping him there if he becomes successful. See Vandy.

He isn't going to stay at Kentucky very long if he does a relevant job. Much like Franklin he'll head off to a more prestigious program. Be thankful you have him for the time being.

Kentucky is nowhere near the prestigious schools that he could coach at and Iw wouldn't blame him for leaving if he got a job offer from one of the tops schools. If he gets us to where he says he can then we could find a suitable replacement for him and not take a hit. I will worry when we start getting back to Bowl games.

Auburn is considering declaring themselves the national champions for 1910, 1913, 1914, 1958, 1983, 1993 and 2004. Currently Auburn only recognizes the AP national title they won in 1957 and the BCS title they won in 2010. Their reasoning for recognizing additional titles is that other schools have declared themselves national champions using various polls, so they may as well.

At least they're not doing like USCjr fans do and claiming the last 7 of 8 because they are in the SEC.

Nothing is as bad as the titles Texas A&M claims. When they joined the SEC they added national titles from 1919 and 1927. The 1919 title they claim is based on a poll from 1980 in which they asked voters to retroactively award titles for every year, and the group had a 3-way tie between Harvard, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M. The 1927 claim is based on the Sagarin ratings, a computer formula that is usually used for basketball but that retroactively deemed the 1927 the top team.

A&M also added 2 conference titles, including the 1997 team that won the Big 12 South and got blown out in the conference title game, and the 2010 team that was part of a 3-way tie for the Big 12 South title but was third in the tiebreakers for the Big 12 title game. Using Texas A&M's logic there was 5 Big 12 champions in 2010, 2 in the North and 3 in the South.

I think CU gets 2 more on D and maybe 3 but I think one of them may end up at Auburn.

Looks like CU gets the #1 OL for 2015 this week also.

It has something to do with it for sure, but Glennon wasn't bad and he didn't want to lose him to a transfer. Plus Wilson wouldn't commit to football and give up baseball.

By that logic you should never recruit more than 1 5-star per position every 4 years.... I'm not a fan of O'Brien, but I doubt that was his thinking. I bet it was something ridiculous like trying to exert power on the team leader and star...to show who the top dog is.... That ^#%^ happens all the time in football for no reason. /rampant speculation

O'Brein is an old military guy and wanted things his way. Dabo should have done it with Parker his last year too.

I saw today where Kentucky is getting a local kid to go up and play WR. I hope he does well there.

Florida State has totaled 11 Rivals 5-star signees over the last 5 classes. The other 13 ACC schools have combined for 15 over same stretch.
