Yep, I'm definitely a yeller too. So much that both he and my wife put their hands over their ears when I'm in full Dad voice mode. But I tone it down to a low growl for public appearances. That, and the 1-2-3 usually work, but he was digging in his heels pretty hard yesterday. And the shitty part is it was over stupid shit

I understand... my daughter and I got into a little bit of a heated argument last night over legos. But it's like every time I've been playing with her lately, something always comes up. I can't touch some of her toys, I have to play by her rules, and I can't use a lego piece as I desire.. like really!? You know better.

This, and family vacations, trips are the only things I go out and do on my own. So don't Yelp too much, but should probably give it a whirl. You got anything in the downtown or Broadway area at the moment? The WSCC is on 6th & Pike, but the place I'm staying is by the Paramount on 8th. LOL, is yours around my son's age or younger? I'm sure this will serve them both well when they are grown, but right now he's driving me nuts. It doesn't help that my wife feels I'm in the wrong. I'm not remotely criticizing or judging at all cuz folks are entitled to be however they want to be, but the second someone starts raising their voice or yelling at me, I warn them first and if it continues, I walk away. I understand you're talking about children here and I'm an adult but that's something I've stood by pretty much my entire adult life. Yelling only seeks to either (a) rile me up even more or (b) shuts me down, so speak to me like a human being with dignity and respect and let's solve the problem/come to some sort of agreement. Not to mention if and when I do see fit to yell, it works to my favor cuz it scares the sh*t outta people since I so very rarely do it.

it's extremely rare I get riled up/speak up at work. The few times I have yelled at work I may have scared a few lol.
