Yes. I do that sort of thing all the time. Like when Best Buy gives you a $15 gift card to buy a $150+ gift card, now i have $165 to spend there for the price of $150.

Have done the same thing with Amazon. You can send yourself the gift card code. They don't care.

at work, i'm known as one who speaks their mind on pretty much any subject. i don't think i've ever gotten loud, though. mainly because it is heavily frowned upon and they'd most likely do a write-up, suspension, or termination.

i got called out one time, by 3 different managers, for putting "fml" into a group chat session. most of the people in the chat laughed at it. but i had 3 managers come up to me, in person, and tell me don't ever do that again. when the third one said something, i just looked them straight in the eye and said, "are you ***ing kidding me? you can't be serious, right now!" they just looked at me, all shocked. i said, "dude, it takes 3 of y'all to come over and tell me something, within 30 goddamn seconds of each other?"

at that point, i honestly didn't care if i got fired. i thought it was absolutely ludicrous that all 3 of them said something. then i made a joke about, "how many managers does it take to discipline one person?" everybody around me laughed. again, didn't care if i got in trouble again or even got fired. because it was ludicrous. hell, it was stupid.

i even got in trouble one time for saying the word "retarded". i was told not to say that word because someone may get offended. i said, "well, that's their problem. i can't help that." and i meant it. i'm not gonna try to be all church-like and hush-hush just because it may offend somebody. if you don't like what i say, then don't listen to me.


i just know my last day there is probably gonna be a bad one. at least for the other people working there.

Apparently she has some home issues that might have played a part in what she said to me. Sounds like she's just a kid herself and this is probably her first job. I reassured her I wasn't mad. I've had to make calls like hers when I was in retail management, but this was the first time this has ever happened to me personally.

So I wanted to make them aware of the situation to insure it doesn't happen to another parent in the future. You definitely make some fine points when it comes to dealing with people one on one Rage. I learned that everyone is different when I was in the Army and during my retail/sales days. I definitely hear what you are saying. My son is his parents son. He has our best and worst qualities. So it is a bit like raising myself. With the exception of parenting, I'm pretty happy go lucky and soft spoken. Unless you piss me off. Then I'm either real quiet or a 4 alarm fire.

My wife if the diplomat out of the two of us. Although I'm getting a bit better in trying to not let my emotions get the better of me with him. The 1-2-3 Magic for the most part seems to work well. As I explained to the supervisor who called, it just wasn't working that day. I actually quoted this line from an episode of The Andy Griffith Show when Andy has to set Barney straight on parenting. Because, just like anything in life, you don't know what you are going to do until your knee deep.

Secondly, it's painfully obvious that you're a kind, loving and caring parent, the world needs many more of you.

Lastly, thank you for being understanding towards the fact that I most certainly was not critiquing your individual style of parenting with what I typed...a lot of people on the interg00glez would have taken my comments personally and instead you took the route of kindness and understanding and complimented me on my viewpoint. You're one helluva stand up dude in my book, brother.

Regarding the Yelp stuff, you should be less worried about the app tracking your every move and more about the chip your wife has implanted in your wedding band.

it's been a rough week. a good friend passed away last Saturday while on vacation in Mexico w/his girlfriend. he was only 45.

losing him was bad enough, to top it off, he was also my tattoo artist. i have probably close to 8 hours left before my arm would be considered "finished".....but we were talking about taking it onto my chest and back after the arm.

him passing hit me pretty hard. but I've also been worried that the other guys in the shop may not be willing to finish what he started....whether it be b/c they wouldn't want to work on another artists work, they're sad he's gone and it would be too hard for them, or some other reason.

so I'm trying to figure out when would be a good time to go in and bring it up w/them.
