I might be out of line here, but these are some concept art that I found online that I think would look great on your cover:

I agree with all you said (from congrats to nitpicks).

The very early stages of this WIP:

I worked the credits block using the technique detailed a few pages back. Some of the unique credits include "Based on a 1951 Broadway Play By..."

I selected Impact as the credits font just to be a little different. I am loving the fact that I'm not restricted to Universal acc and SteelTongs anymore

Regarding the spines not matching. The reason a lot of them don't match their particular movie is because I decided the spines needed to be a part of a larger picture, they need to look good next to each other on the shelf, because that is how they will be viewed 99% of the time.

So from Snow White to Frozen, there is a flow of the spines, most of them using their original title background.

I promise you that when the collection is complete the spines will have a nice flow, not matching, but all looking like part of a collection, which is the whole idea of this project.

Maleficent – I tried and tried to get her on the cover and in the end, I just wasn't particularly happy with how it was turning out. I knew people would be upset if I didn't include her, but I couldn't make it work. Maybe something will come up down the road and I will go back and make some changes, but for now, the secret of Maleficent has to wait until you put the disc in the player.

Thanks for the feedback! And I'm glad you're enjoying them, even if not completely!

Does anyone have, or could someone make, a custom cover for 'Night of the Creeps' utilizing the original VHS or poster art? The one with the zombie guy looking through the window with the roses? Ordered the Blu from Amazon last night and, although the Blu artwork isn't bad, I love the original artwork more.....as is usually the case.

Thanks

This is a VHS conversion I did to DVD a while ago, but I would be more than happy to make a bluray version.

Please PM for more details.

Being a huge fan of Pocahontas I'm very happy that you've made a cover for it. The pencil drawing of Pocahontas on the cover is one of my favorites too. Great choice! If I can be so bold as to make a suggestion though, why not add some color like you did for the Sleeping Beauty cover?

I'm really liking the direction you've taken with these covers. Using the title card backgrounds for the spines is a very cool touch too. Looking forward to what you come up with for the remaining films (especially Lady and the Tramp, Tarzan and Hercules ).

Recently finished my custom for Dune, which had been held up at ~95% for a while due to a previously unavailable resource (thank you EuphoricFX):

This cover is heavily inspired by the 1990 MCA Universal VHS release (a favorite of my adolescence), with the theatrical teaser poster as the front (the image I most strongly associate with the film and book). It's for the current Blu-ray paired with the previous Steelbook DVD featuring the extended TV cut (I did a special features list but it made the back too cluttered). I've considered producing a BD-only version for sharing on EuphoricFX.

A close-up look at the spine:

A pre-existing element of the familiar "STEREO" banner was modified into a "SURROUND" version: the U, N and D were made from letters in the word "stereo."

I'm pretty proud of the end result: I put quite a lot of effort attempting to duplicate a very specific design, down to the spacing proportions of text and graphics. I don't think I did too bad.

I love the warm feeling that Lady and the Tramp cover gives off.
Warm and simple.
