I have the current release, but I gladly upgrade it, it was cheap anyway, there is much room for improvement in the PQ department if this is a new 2K or 4K restoration.

It's easily one of my all-time favorite American films. It's just perfect. I have the UK Studio Canal release, which I've been told is better than the stateside release, but I'll be happy to upgrade it.

Limelight is my 2nd favorite Chaplin behind The Great Dictator. It has some of the best dialogue of any Criterion release IMO. Very personal and reflective film where Calvero imparts some beautiful wisdom to the young dancer. I think it shows Chaplin's genius to write, direct and compose the score for the film.

Can't wait to see The Kid.

When it comes to Chaplin I think I do have to plead guilty to indifference. Obviously there's no denying the talent or the influence but try as I might (and I really have tried) I just can't seem to warm up to his stuff.

I love Buster Keaton and really like the few Harold Lloyd films I've seen so far but with relatively few exceptions (the roller skating bit in the department store was brilliant as was his attempts to intentionally get arrested in City Lights (at least think it was City Lights) Chaplin just doesn't do it for me.

STOKED for Death By Hanging! Its one of those movies I always reccomend to people whenever they ask me for something new to watch and easily one of my favorite Japanese films.
Also in for the rest, glad to see some more silent Chaplin!
