Back in the 1970s/1980s there was a style of theatrical poster which combined as many elements as feasible for quite a busy but exciting effect. See the UK Quad posters for movies such as "Star Wars", "For Your Eyes Only" and "Never Say Never Again" as just some examples.

Anyway, I came across this Thai poster for "Condorman" that follows that idea which I will likely use when I finally revisit that movie. The version has a resolution in the 3500x2500 range, but here is a low res preview:

ah! here's an example where the "2-movie collection" was actually a bad thing.

i like the artwork you've chosen, but it's sad that "the rescuers downunder" has become second string.

edit: i know it's not your fault! but you've done a great job in a lousy situation.

Default More VHS Conversions

Here are a couple more VHS conversions. As before, the only major differences are the back images.

PM if interested in the printable versions.

Precisely the reason why I'm looking for cover art.

I have to ask - why are you bundling these when you didn't bundle Fantasia/Fantasia 2000?

I hate that these are bundled and have considered separating them in my collection. It makes the flow of release order all screwed up.

I like the art a lot though.

The Blu ray disc makes it hard to separate them as both are on one Blu. Meanwhile they each have their own DVD.

Because the Fantasia films are on separate blu-rays while the other 2-movie collections (including The Rescuers) are housed on a single blu-ray disc, so short of importing individual releases from international territories, it's impossible to separate them.

Default The Howling VHS Conversion

This was a fun one to create! I think the only difference between this and the VHS version is my "20th" logo is just slightly different.

Love how this turned out.

PM if you are interested in the printable version

I tried the best that I could to make this one work, but in the end, it comes down to a few things...

Firstly,

Thankfully this is the only instance of this so far in the canon and hopefully the last.

One of the initial rules I set for myself when I started this collection was to pretend as if the DVDs (and Digital Copies) don't exist. So making one of them a DVD only set was out of the question. The ability to import them separately stands, but I don't see myself doing that any time soon, so I had to make a cover that would work with what I've got.

I know it's not perfect, and believe me when I say this cover caused me more of a hassle than any of the others I've done so far, but in the end, I did the best I could with what I had to work with!

That being said... here are a couple of alternate designs for Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast.

that beauty and the beast... wow. magnificent!

and about the rescuers... i know it wasn't your decision. i think you did a great job.

would it be an option to divide the front cover? similar to how disney did it with "the emperor's new groove". surely there must be a more elegant way than what disney did. just a suggestion!

Man, and I own the set and have recently watched it. You would think I would have remembered that...

Any alternate titles I make will be included in the downloads, so that people can choose which they prefer. I don't have many more alternates, but I may do something with The Lion King, just for future reference.

Also, for those of you asking about Pixar covers... I was playing around with an idea today and thought about going a minimalist route for the Pixar collection. Here are a few rough drafts, let me know what you think. If people like the direction they are headed, I will stick with the idea, if not, I'll go with something else.

I think these are looking great, would love to see what you do with the remainder.
May I make a suggestion...have you thought about using a yellow background for your Wall-e cover, since you already have a green background for Monsters University?

Nothing on those Pixar ones are final yet, I just tossed them together quickly to see if it would work. They all need to be tweaked a bit. I don't know about yellow for WALL•E, I'll give it a shot and see how it looks.

i change my favourite every time you bring out a new disney cover! the fox and the hound is perfect! i love it.

really like the idea of doing minimalist covers for the pixar movies. it matches the japanese studio ghibli blu-ray releases.

I agree.

Although I like the backcovers of my BDs to have at least full technical specs (with all audio tracks listed and all subs available listed also).

Same goes for the "VHS retro" covers. They're great but I would add a tiny line somewhere/somehow with the specs and bonus features.

Anyway, you all did a fantastic job (apart from this nitpick)

I adore that one - the colors are magnificent. I've been telling myself no when it comes to custom covers, but yours make me want to change my mind.
