The problem with Disney's teaser release posters is that they only release them initially in regular quality,(1688x2500) (1714x2500) or worse 1383x2048). We have to wait months later to get them in HQ. (4950x6900) or (6072x9000). Am I wrong?

Additionally, Disney's poster release sizes are all over the place. I don't have a lucky source like some members on this forum. I have to spend hours scanning the net. I look for them by exact sizes...and at best, i'll stumble upon random teaser posters, or some payoff posters.

So, I would love to spend more hours customizing a teaser poster to textless, only to have someone post the actual key art in higher resolution months later. but at least I put a smile on a few peoples faces or raised their eyebrows for a moment.

I wish I had a source for Disney's key art in HQ. I would do this in a heartbeat.

Netflix initial poster sizes are even worse!

Resolution isn't a problem I can get it to a large size, it's just getting versions of the same poster from other countries (foreign text) so I can key-art the hard parts of the background. The text that's on an easy background I can remove myself without key-arting.

Resolution IS the main problem for me. Yes Kylor, like you...there are different ways of manipulating the art which I can do...and is the fun part. but not if the resolution is low. Zooming in at pixel level and working on aliasing on a low res image makes it very difficult to manipulate. I would actually have to render the low res aliasing. if that makes sense. And I prefer to do it that way, instead of covering it up with noise or texture.

Me too, I use to upscale some low res images but at the end that's very destructive process, even when the result was ok , so now I prefer to leave the original resolution and try to work and enhance it , I'm not that obsessed with big resolutions. I'd work from 1000 or 2000px up to call it decent for a custom till the original is available of course , thanks to the amazing guys who share those here.

But all work well done is appreciated

I hate working with anything lower than 1000x2000 pixels, but if it's an old poster and nothing higher has come out for it after a long time then I'll go right ahead and blow it up (the dark blue/red Treasure Planet poster is a prime example). When I blow up newer posters they are usually a high resolution to start with so it doesn't end up being destroyed at all which is a bonus. Doesn't work with all posters though you have to pick & choose wisely.

So I could do Captain Marvel at this resolution (1688x2500).. using Kat. Klema's source as a fill-in for the bottom portion of her body... but if anyone else is going to render it, then I wont bother.

Special thanks to DBLACK for the removing of the main text. Fixed it up as best as possible & blew it up. Teamwork is awesome.

I used that version (1688x2500) and blended it with DBLACK's version, made some adjustments and blew it up. Great minds think alike.
