Wow, I bought an exotic gauntlet engram using my Warlock, and the Cryptarch actually gave me gauntlets for a Warlock. What are the odds??

Another disappointing Xur sale, for me at least. But I obviously recommend everyone buy Plan C if they don't already have it.

Although with the incoming nerf fusion rifles are getting plan c might not be much cop soon. Fusion rifles were my go-to gun too

Also Bungie seems to nerf stuff fine but cannot fix anything broken with the game. Their priorities are extremely screwed up.

No heavy again, if we get it next week it will be a month since the last time he sold it, what a slap in the face. It is made infinitely worse by the fact that they know the game is broke and stealing our ammo, so their solution is take away the only affordable way to buy it? That's messed up.....

Nice tip. I had not seen a Hunter hide behind Crota between 1st and 2nd sward attack.

same here. i have a 300 plan c that i never use, not gonna buy a 331 version. i may upgrade it later.
already have dont touch me gloves.


i'm thinking i'll buy a shotgun telemetry for when they up the damage on them. or buy the engram just to get the exotic shard

I'll admit, I've never used pulse rifles myself. Good news for the fusion rifle spin up time.

When Destiny's 1.1.1 update arrives this month, it will include weapon tweaks that range from the subtle to the unmissable, according to a Bungie.net post from sandbox designer Jon Weisnewski.

Since its release last September, developer Bungie has been observing games, listening to players, collecting data and conducting internal playtests. The upcoming changes are a result of those efforts.

Weisnewski breaks the changes down by weapon category. In general:

Auto rifles, which are designed for close to medium range combat, will see their base damage reduced by 2.5 percent, in addition to a reduction in effective range.
Pulse rifles, Destiny's least-used weapon class, will see their base damage per second raised 8.7 percent.

Hand cannons, Bungie's euphemism for pistols, are designed for medium range, and will lose some effective range and initial accuracy.

Fusion rifles, which are designed for mid-range combat, will see a "little wider" blast radius while their starting ammunition is reduced.

Heavy machine guns, rocket launchers, scout rifles and sniper rifles are largely immune from update 1.1.1's tweaks, though Weisnewski admits that "changes to the Destiny arsenal mean that untouched weapons may now seem different in side by side comparisons. You may discover new reasons to start using some of these weapons as part of your combat strategy."

The sandbox designer also preemptively answered a question sure to be asked by frustrated players: Why did Bungie nerf my favorite weapon instead of leaving it alone and changing others?

"We pay close attention to kill times in all game modes against all combatant types," he wrote. "If we brought up all the other weapons to account for lethality spikes that occur in specific situations, then our TTK (time to kill) would get faster with every patch. It is important to us to keep TTK values such that your arsenal feels lethal, but also both allows for some drama while you fight, and creates opportunities for counter-play when you're being attacked."

I didn't see anything mentioning the improvement to Fusion Rifle spin up time. Unless you mean the damage cone?

I get the impression charge rate isn't changing.

The new Murmor is just as good as the Plan C and you can change it to Fire damage if needed.

I always kept my Plan C on me, but have found lately it just sits in the vault now that I have Murmur. Granted, Plan C has a faster charge, but the trade-off is minimal, and it frees-up an exotic slot.

Agreed. I have one and I have never use since Murmur is close enough for me.

I assumed this meant shorter firing speed, because I read ammunition as animation.
