I haven't seen any word from WB, Amazon, etc. The only place I've seen it is in the photo. Wouldn't surprise me if it's not numbered.

Then again part of me wants to have all three on the same shelf next to each other lol. The cowl doesnt come with a case or anything. Buying more then one is out of the question ha atleast I have a while to make up my mind.

I didnt expect so much talk about the Trilogy on the thread as much as the Rises movie itself. I mean I thought most of the people on here already own the first two on bluray? do you not? are you guys really hold outs? If you held out I commend you since the first two look amazing on Blu.

But if you already have 2/3rds of it. Are those really buying this set?

Yep. Buying the Ultimate Collector's Edition next year because I like series in complete box sets.

It's the reason I haven't bought Hunger Games yet. Yes, I'll have to wait another three and a half years before the series is over and they release a series box set but it'll save me money in the long run. Same goes for Fincher's Millennium series (if he decides to finish it).

I have BB & TDK on BD. I'm buying TDKR on release day, and when the Ultimate Trilogy Box Set comes out I'm getting that & will probably pawn the three ones I had already bought on my older brother.

I am a total hold out... on everything. Last month, I just got setup with a 3D Blu-ray player (Sony BDV-F7) with soundbar and sub and a (non-3D) Panasonic plasma 50 inch (TC-P50U50). I have 3 blu-ray movies in total. One of them is the new Avengers Target exclusive. So basically everything is new and exciting to me. Then again, I've also missed out on a lot of limited pre-orders and steelbooks and stuff like that. Now most of which is pretty difficult to obtain for non-astronomical pricing.

For the Dark Knight, I can go with whatever option(s) I want with a clean slate. If you guys were in my position, what would you choose?

I really hope the ultimate collector's edition at the very least has a box set for the discs. I dislike those collector items with weird disc packaging.

Probably the Trilogy unless the other 2 movies you already own besides The Avengers are Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. All three are definitely worth owning.

Also, hope you're enjoying your purchases so far. You're about to get hooked on Blu-ray.

Its up to each person. Do you think the fancy case is worth the extra $$$. Its going to be the same movie. So its your choice!

For those who haven't heard yet, Target will have 2 Digibooks and BBY will have the Steelbook. I just read it here:http://www.superherohype.com/news/ar...rises-revealed

Ah, I was wondering if it was going to be 1 digibook with Batman/front - Bane/back, or 2 books with different covers. Awesome!

I don't see that blogger pointing to any information that confirms it is two books, other than the listing which we've seen already, so he may just be assuming.

I've been figuring it is one lenticular that switches back and forth... If it really is 2 books, not sure how a person would feel about buying a Batman movie that has only Bane on the cover. It's not like he's the Joker or something.

Silly me, I didn't even click the Target link...which, as you said, leads us to what we already knew.
I agree with your reasoning, which is why I think it will just be one book with pics on the front & back. Obviously we have plenty of time to sort this "mystery" out.
I don't know how well a "lenticular" piece would stay on the book. Which is why, I believe, we have not seen a Lenticular digibook to date.

It says there are 2 books, one with Batman and one with Bane and even shows pictures of them both.

Yes, but if you search on Target there is only the Bane digibook, with an image of Batman. I'm not saying there won't be 2 book, but right now the site only lists one.

Actually, if you follow this link:http://www.target.com/p/the-dark-kni...Primary%20Link you see both covers.

Does anyone know if the Best Buy Steelbook preorder is going on sale soon as a preorder exclusive like The Avengers one did?

Or is that being released at the same time as the actual movie in December?

Superglue! Epoxy! Hmm, now you have me wondering...I am going to go home later and see if I can find one, but I think you are right.

The article says that, yes. And offers no source for this apart from a Target item link which doesn't really say one way or the other. So I think he saw the two pictures there and assumed it was two books, but some have speculated (especially due to the way it kind of looks like a rectangular sticker stuck on a blank book cover) that it is a magic lenticular cover with both images in one depending on the angle you look at it.
