Life of Pi has both pop outs and depth. I think it was filmed in 3D, not converted. Highly recommended.
Any particular scenes/highlights worth mentioning in 3D?

Last night I watched Sangaree. Mike's review in the dedicated thread says it all really, much better than I can. All I can say is that the film was surprisingly entertaining and the 3D was sumptuous. As much as I appreciated the barrel and knife throwing, I could have done with more pop-outs, but the depth and layering were impressive enough to provide plenty of Technicolor eye candy. If you're in Region B, this is another reason to go region free.

Hi 13,
That's surprising he is not on the international version in English. Martin added so much to the words.

Sangaree was great. I'm also on the fence regarding an all region player but don't know if it's worth replacing my player for just a few titles. Glad most of Asia are region A.

Hi Smaugone,

If Life of Pi won't turn one into a 3D convert, nothing will. It's a must have in 3D!

Nice to read your reviews here at blu-ray.com. Keep 'em coming!
After reading your thoughts on Tad the Lost Explorer 3D I'm going to order the movie!
Hi Tonppa,

Hey, I like that! . So does my better half.

13 just advised me the international version does not feature Cheech Martin so be sure to get one with his name on it - Tad was produced in Spain.

It was a fun film, certainly an animated Indiana Jones. Hope you enjoy it. And thanks again for the kind words.

If you are referring to the comedian of "Cheech and Chong" fame, his last name is Marin.

Hi Damon,

Can't blame me if Cheech spells his last name wrong.

The flying fish, the whale, the shipwreck, the night ocean 'dream', I was hooked just watching the credits. Just get it, I give you my personal internet guarantee that you won't be disappointed. I thought the story was great, would have been enjoyable in lowly 2D.

Story sucked...3D was above average. I hate movies where at the end you discover that the whole thing was
[Show spoiler]imagined
.

It's not the destination, it's the journey.

Hi wild Bill,

First off, hope you and the family are getting back to normal routines.

As far as the ganja, she is right next to me. But gangas - saw that was Spanish for "bargains" so are you implying our buddy Damon knows where we can get a cheap supply of our sixties favorite "Acapulco Gold"?

I laughed at 8 seasons of the Bob Newhart show, but when I see a rerun, I just fly into a rage.

I thought it was a pretty good joke. At least it was better than the end of The Sopranos.

The seller could not complete my order of Gulliver's.Travels so Amazon reinstated my bonus points. Applied them to Suicide Squad and Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters now that they are discounted.
