You would be deleting all of that old stuff for newer/better stuff anyway. If you want to blow through the Single Player part of the game; hit me and some of the others up and we can run you through it.

I may be starting a new character soon as well and would need to go through the story again so I may be able to help as well.

As far as I know your character information is saved on Bungie's side so you shouldn't lose any armor, weapons, level, etc.

Oddly enough, the most fun I had in a while was doing the iron banner last time. I don't usually like it, but it was a lot more fun when I was just playing and not trying to fill a bounty. I ended up playing until level 5 and got 2 nice snipers, decent hand cannon, and better looking arms for my warlock.
