Tals, I missed this in your thread, but congrats on ordering the screen and brackets. I know you have waited a while, and now you are only days away from being blown away by the picture. I really like the picture I get on my Elite screen, I think they are made extremely well, especially for a manual pulldown screen. Also, my screen has a 1:1 Gain, do you know what gain your screen is?

Morning Todd,

Seems like everyone is getting their own thread now. Those sheet shots you have posted in your gallery look pretty good, I look forward to seeing how much better they'll look once you receive your screen.

Hi Forsberg,my Friend .
I hope your Day is going well up to this point.

Thanks for the Congratulations on ordering the screen.
Its a 1.1 gain screen just like yours.I have been able to get good light control in my room so I shouldn't have a problem.

I made sure I got the Black Screen Case and Weight Bar. Then the brackets are black also.
They are pretty sweet. They have a cut out that allows the S-Hook to slide on the bracket from 1 inch to 6 inches. So you can adjust how far away from the wall the screen is.

And it also has fixed S-Hooks on the very end of the bracket also.So if my measurements are right the Brackets could hold 2 screen cases at one time.
So if I did do what Vega had suggested I can have 2 manual screens at one time.A 1.85:1 and a 2.40:1 also.

And they offer 12 inch and 18 inch brackets as well. For what they can do and the low price they cost the brackets are a good deal.

So I hope to get some tracking info today or tommorow at the latest. And I appreciate all the help in getting me as far as I have made it so far.But I still have a long way to go.

No only do you have a long way to go....but there is no ending.....you just keep going and going Todd....sometimes the going speeds up and sometimes the going slows down.....but there is no light at the end of the HT upgraditis tunnel....

Those brackets sound pretty cool and should help greatly in setting up the screen.

Thank you Todd,

I've finally found a quiet hour to check my email and check in here. Everything went well, only one more thing remaining, which will happen tomorrow. Today we get a bit of break, which is welcome news. Should be back home late Thursday night. I'll do most of my catching up with all of you then.

John

Hi Justin,Buddy.

I really hated to even post those Sheet-Shots because they look so Extrenely Different then they do in Real Life.
If you see it in Person the Difference is Absolutely Amazing.

But I Imagine using a sheet,my major lack of Photography Skills, and the inexpensive Kodak Point and Shoot Camera I used made it all come together into the image you see.

But to be honest if my pictures of the Sheet or Screen dont get Any Better,I wont mind 1 Bit.Considering what the image looks like in person more then makes up for the lack of Quality in my Screen/Sheet Pics and the lack of Photography skills on my behalf.

I Really Enjoy Almost Every Minute of the Entire Experience .

I have 3 months of adding my last source components and accessories to be at a spot where I can take a Break on that End.Because that would allow me to use my 2-Channel System with Both a SACD Player and a TurnTable.

And then that will also force me to get some SACD's and Albums(Vinyl)to aquire and begin to listen to.
So the next few months will be really rewarding.

Watching Movies and also listening to some Great Sounding Music to unwind and Relax.Kind of like a De-Stress Session.

Then after that I will already have had my room painted. So I can start working on decorating my room at that point.Add some Posters, signs, replicas, some items to make it look and feel more like a Real Home Theater.

So,no,it will Never Stop. But I dont want it to.Trying to keep up with the Upgrade-itis is whats keeping me going at this point and time.If I didn't have my Home Theater and my Audio I would be lost.

This past year of making all the Big Changes to my System and Joining this Forum(With ALL Its Wonderful and Awesome Members)has been one of the most enjoyble times I have experienced over the past 4 years.

So to Every Member of Blu-Ray.Com,Thank You for making my life a little Brighter.

Well I will Truthfully be Glad to See you return to the Forum on a Regular Basis,John.
Hasn't quite been the same without you. I wont say much more about this unless you want to Bring it Up or need someone to Talk To.If so I am hear almost anytime that you would want to talk.

I know I have said it a lot already but You have Never Left my Prayers nor My Thoughts.

So during this difficult time of transition and change just remember your Friends and Family at the Forum here will be with you anytime you are ready to continue on that journey to 2-Channel Audio Bliss.

I dont blame it from running away,Fors.
It probably ran into my wallet in Virginia.

Now both of them are probably living under a Highway Overpass Bridge.Burning our receipts to keep warm at night.
