Wow, that looks like it has some real potential. I'll wait for a review, but I really love the 360 controller. I like the Dualshock ok, but if I had my choice it'd definitely be the 360. And for the record jaded, I don't have wookie paws. It just sits really nicely in the hands.

Looks good but shouldn't it be called Xbox360 short? There's nothing slim about it. It's still fat.

It's called the 360S. Slim was just what fans/etc were calling it. It's slimmer (but longer) than the original- just basically a square case design as opposed to a rectangular one.

I saw the DTS HDMA and Dolby TrueHD light on my receiver, but I never found one in store. I'm quite happy. My Phat model works well. I could watch again when the next new version out.

meh, the new "360s" (which obvioulsy stands for slim) looks like it's made out of cheap plastic. And how weird that they've gone for the shiny black look, just like the original PS3! It's finger print magnet; Sony learned that lesson and changed it with PS3 the slim.

I dunno, the new 360 just looks like an old Alienware pc case.

I dunno, the new 260 just looks like an old Alienware pc case.
I personally prefer the high gloss of the new 360 (and old PS3). I think it makes it look classier.

Actually, it's not longer than the old model. It's smaller (that's what the S stands for).

Fair do's, I still have a phat PS3 which does look lovely and glossy but I have to admit a few hairline scratches have appeared despite my best efforts to keep it pristine

Actually, it's 10.6in x 10.3in and stands 2.95in high. The original is 10.15in x 12.15in and stands 3.27in high. So it IS longer (by about 1/2 an inch). My point was that it's square while the old one was rectangular, and thus is a bit longer.

I swear, people want to argue the silliest things sometimes.

I agree! My daughters all have their own PS3 fatties, and I went with the slim, but I like the look of theirs better. Same with the new 360 look, I think it looks sexier than the PS3's slim. That said, still no plans to add a 360 to my gear.

PS3 is better because Microsoft is paying all these other companies so that they can get the games exclusively and to get the ad-ons first Sony on the other hand is being smart with there money and only spending it when they know there going to make money.

The PS3 is what you prefer. This isn't a discussion about which Console is the better overall console. It only leads to people's feelings getting hurt and/or suspension. We're comparing the Slim versions of both consoles. There's a difference.

I JUST bought a new 360 a couple of weeks ago because I thought the vid card was going bad on mine (turns out it was the HDMI card in my onkyo receiver.) I wish I hadn't because I want to get the Kinect when it comes out. You can power the Kinect with the new 360, but with an old 360 you have to plug the Kinect into wall power.

although ive seen a few 360 type controllers for the ps3, i have yet to see a ps3 type for the 360.

check this out.

http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_cross_battle_adapter.htm

it will allow you to use a wired 360 controller (which i have for pc) on the ps3. there are fake ones being sold on amazon and the home page of the xcm site shows fake products.

edit:

found a site with price.

http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/c...p-2-c-252.html

total is 40 shipped. there is also an adapter that is customizable with six axis support. but its 80 shipped.
