WTF? So the UK release comes with a bonus features dvd? Weird coz typically Liongate BDs are filled to the rim with HD content (atleast here in the US). Daybreakers and Kick-Ass are good examples of this.

Well this is a bit tricky. I like the standard Blu case/art, but want all the bonus content... however I'm trying to avoid steelbooks and just buy normal versions... so looking at the US release with everything on 1 disc, and it's region locked! Or do I wait to see if that Director's Cut materialises anytime soon? Oh decisions decisions....

Can't understand why the 'Inferno' documentary is in SD?! Also no biggie but the disc arrangement was retarded, the blu was behind the dvd disc.

Next week the dutch edition (with lighter, dog tags, posters etc) will come out and I'll sacrifice myself into buying it.

I'll let you know what they did to the discs. My guess is the same as the UK version.

addition to the other topic (us) the dutch edition is a BD-disc with all the extra's .. except Inferno .. doesn't seem to be on in. The second disc is a dvd with the movie and some of the extra's featured on the bd-disc.

extra's listed on bd:

- Sly commentary
- Comic Con 2010
- from the ashes, post produc
- Bloopers
- deleted scene; gunnar joke
- interviews with cast and crew
- Ultimate recon; seems to be a pip-feature .. but cut, not the entire movie

and then the "Behind the Scenes"... which is cut up to:

- Play all
- Hostages
- Soldiers
- All the stars together
- Austin fights Stallone
- The stunt Plane
- B-roll

some of the segment of the inferno docu .. If you look on youtube (search for expendables inferno) you can find these segments, but a lot more ...

video seems to be running at a steady 30 mbps with drops to 20 .. and ups to 45. Menu is pretty cool, and the audio is great (tested the 5.1 with the AA-12 scene at the end ) it also has 7.1

Audio and Video quality on this is amazing, just like I remembered it in the cinema. Just a damn shame we only get the Inferno Doc in SD, so means I gotta import the US once it goes cheap.

My brother picked up the standard slipcase edition today for my Xmas pressie (yes, I was with him ha!), though I'm just hoping that either a) I can rent or borrow the Inferno making of disc, or b) that the HD version appears on the inevitable Director's Cut.

For some, stupid reason, it really pisses me of when they put the incorrect 'BBFC Consumer Advice' on the pack of the case. I saw the normal version in Asda, with the CA of, 'Contains strong violence and language', then, as its the uncut version, it should be, 'Contains strong bloody violence'. Just one of my silly, OCD things .

I was given the 3 disc steelbook edition for Christmas. Why have Lionsgate put out an uncut bluray and a cut DVD. I was checking out the DVD to see if the subtitles were not player generated on both bluray and DVD, which thankfully they're not but noticed in the scene where the guards are about to rape that woman, when Sly sticks the knife in the throat, the DVD is cut of the knife twisting and being pushed out.

Why release a cut version on DVD if it's been passed uncut by the BBFC?
