It seems silly that the 2D version doesn't have a Digital Copy and that the 3D version doesn't have a DVD. Why not have the Digital Copy on the DVD? Like Iron Man 2. Or do you just have a code and a link to a website for the DC?

With Disney, who is releasing every of its blu-ray region free since months now, guess it will be region free too for Tron 1 & 2.
Anyway, hope so

What seems sillier to me that everyone is trying to promote 3D yet in the UK they dont release the 3D version in the Legacy/Original box set. They are in the US. Crazy

Seriously the Play.com exclusive is ridiculously priced! I mean £69.99 for not a lot has not convinced me to order that one. I if it was in a nice plastic box and sorts maybe i would but it seems to be in just a cardboard box. The US version is much better with the light up disc why couldnt we have something like that

I actually like the look of the Play exclusive case, but £70 is a hell of a lot for what you're getting. I added everything I could from it into an Amazon basket, here's how it totals:

Tron/Tron Legacy - £17.99 (although you wouldn't get separate slipcovers)
CD soundtrack - £8.93
Book - £4.63
Art cards - Unavailable on Amazon

All that comes to a total of £31.55. And you could even add the 3D Blu-ray in there (£17.99), and bring the total to £49.54. You'd still be saving a good £20 this way.

Because whoever is running Disney's DVD/Blu-ray publishing department hates the UK.

Everytime I see that "fire kindling" of a collectors set on Play.com, I get more drawn to preordering the US set.

The only thing that could make the US set more expensive, would be having to pay import and customs charges.

Which means you'd be paying £38.54 just for the box. I do wonder if it's plastic or cardboard. I've currently got it on order at the moment, just so I've got a copy secured in case I do want it.

EDIT: They could've at least thrown in the PS3 game as originally mentioned.

It's the LE? That doesn't have the game, if it did it wouldn't seem so expensive.

The CCP originally consisted of Tron Legacy BD 3D + Tron Digital Copy + PS3 Evolution game.

It got dropped in favour of the Play exclusive, which is similar, but loses 3D Blu (now 2D), Digital Copy (now BD) and PS3 game (gone completely).

The pricing is totally off by Play for this edition.

£70 for 2 movie set, which were not the biggest movies of all time.

£70 for Star Wars Saga, 9 discs, at least 3 of which were perhaps huge blockbuster movies.

Comparing the two, Tron LE would be fair game at around £35-£40.

Don't forget even the Back to the Future Limited Edition Tin was around £35 when it eventually came out.

RRP £50, Amazon price £35 would have been fair for this.

As it is, it is not one for me. For that money, will chance customs and go with US version.
