I loved the idea for the Top 5 Horror thread, so thought I would create for my fav genre. What is your top 5 Sci Fi Blu's in your collection?

I don't want to break up the thread, but seeing people's faves listed makes me realise just how good the best sci-fi film soundtracks are....

Inception was my fave of the year (tied with Social Network), Moon, Blade Runner, Star Wars... all really integral to the films quality in every case.

That's how I feel, except I could do without Alien 3. I'm going to wait for the set to either come way down or for individual relesases. I'm sure I'll eventually get them all, but 3 & 4 will be bargain buys only.

Thinking about it, I'll wait for individual releases, since I hate the box set packaging.

Cool, I actually liked 3 a lot and remember watching it in the theater. Loved the atmosphere and the way the scenes were shot from the perspective of the Aliens. Good cast and the slow mo ending was pretty sweet as well I don't consider it amazing like 1 and 2 but those are amazing movies in a league of their own.

I'll have to give 4 a watch again eventually but I remember not liking it.

I must admit that 3 has grown on me as I've gotten older. It was just a big disappointment after the sheer greatness of 1 & 2. I liked 4, but in a much different way than any of the others.
