I honestly didn't expect them to reduce the battle rounds to 10 second segments like they did with the blind auditions. You definitely don't get any sense of the work and improvements and changes the singers in question went through. Hell, you don't even know how they sang in the battle round.

But on the other hand, for the battle rounds they did show, it didn't seem like they were hacking the songs down for TV and actually let them play out. Last year there were a few instances where it was clear they removed chunks of the performance.

Too many contestants if they're not gonna let everyone have their time on the air.

I was also impressed with Domo dialing it back and was surprised CeeLo didn't pick her.

Also, did the previews for next week just give away a certain female performer that Blake cuts and Adam picks up?

Yeah, I was skipping through the show because I don't really care about every 10 minute video package of them performing the songs and I missed the 2 quick performances thrown in there

It's tough when they only get a 1 hour slot though.

I have a suspicion the battle rounds they blow through won't consist of singers who make it past the knockout round into the live rounds. Of course, last season Moses was one of the 10 second blind audition clips and he made it to the live rounds.

And they did it again Tuesday. This time they blew through three battle rounds. This really can't help the mp3 sales for those who won the battle rounds.

One hour show only has time for... three battle rounds?

And one of the montage battle round winners had all four coaches turn around and also has a relatively large following (Cassadee Pope), which tells you that they have TOO MANY CONTESTANTS!

This has been a really good season! I am hoping Nicholas David wins the finals next week. I didn't really get in to the voice the first two seasons, but they seem to be finding their groove now with this show and I think it has been much better than X-factor this season with much better talent and has way better judges!

I'm rooting for Terry, but I think it's pretty obvious Cassadee is going to win.

In order for this show to survive long term, they need a Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson type of breakout artist.

The biggest problem is that the producer only cares about making a hit show, not what becomes of the winners. That's why Javier Colon got shafted when it came time to promote his album. Who knows how Jermaine Paul will fare.

I have heard Vicci Martinez on the radio several times. It looks like Ceelo is working with his former team members and helping to promote them.

I like all three finalist and I think the 3 best made it to the finals. My favorite is Nicholas David, but going by last nights performance, I think Cassadee Pope is going to win tonight.

i like all 3 as well but Nicholas is by far my favorite...and its not even close....

i said it VERY early on that it seemed like they wanted Cassadee Pope to win, so im sticking with that.

She seems like she would make a label the most money, so, she'll probably win

i dont at all. and that is exactly why she won....more people would buy a Cassadee Pope album over Nicholas...

Nicholas' voice was too one dimensional, he couldn't hit higher notes, every time he had a song with a really big moment in it, he passed it by or changed it up. The most glaring for me was when he sang "You are so beautiful." He didn't go for any of the bigger notes in that song for more emotion. It was the same tone the entire song.

Cassadee on the other hand sang the hell out of everything she was given, whether it was rock, pop or country. Vocally she's probably the best female to win one of these shows since Carrie Underwood won Idol.

I actually wanted Melanie Martinez to make it to the finale and win, but whatever. Cassadee was my 2nd choice, Terry was my 3rd choice and Trevin was my 4th choice. IMO, Nicholas is overrated. Sure, the man has soul, but he didn't have a very good singing voice. He made it further than he deserved to, IMO.

Nobody tonight that went through I can see myself rooting for. Just hoping that this show won't split up another group I am a fan of like the last two seasons. First because I don't want another group I like split up and second because I would like to watch a season unbiased from already being a fan of somebody.

The guy who lost his two twin daughters at birth was a sad story, but he didn't do himself any favors with his song choice. Song choice is the most important thing to get a coach to turn their chair around.

It's also good to stick to what you do best in the battle and elimination rounds because that's not a time to try something new when the coach has the only say whether you stay or go. Once you get to the live shows, then you can diversify.

Not sure why all four coaches turned around for the twin sisters. You know they're gonna get bumped off early on.
